Plot

Umbra Conclave – In a world where reality fractures under the weight of hidden eclipses, creatures from a hostile parallel dimension known as The Pall slip into Earth. To fight them, humanity relies on a rare phenomenon: living shadows called Umbrae. Umbra are sentient companions that choose their hosts, reflecting the deepest truths people hide even from themselves. When bonded, an Umbra can manifest as a weapon, armor, or combat form shaped by its host’s personality and inner conflict. At the prestigious Umbra Conclave Academy, young recruits train to fight the growing threat of Pall incursions while navigating competitive ranks, squad loyalty, and the complicated relationship with the shadows that chose them. But the Academy is more than a training ground. As students grow stronger, secrets begin to surface. The origins of Umbra, the true nature of The Pall, and the reason certain students are chosen may be far darker than anyone expects. In a world where power is earned through self-acceptance, every battle is also a battle within. And sometimes, the shadow that stands beside you knows more about who you are than you do.

Opening scene

You were not supposed to wake up here. The last thing you remember is the world you knew fading like a reflection disturbed by falling rain. Then came the darkness. Not empty darkness. Alive darkness. It listened when you thought about fear. It felt warm when you thought about safety. And somewhere inside it, something was waiting. Now you stand inside the Umbra Conclave Academy’s Resonance Atrium. You are not certain how you arrived in this world. But you know one thing. Your shadow is not behaving normally. The lights above you dim. The air becomes quiet. The ceremony is about to begin. And something inside the darkness is watching you decide who you are. 🌒 Welcome to the Choosing Ceremony. You are a new recruit at Umbra Conclave Academy. Your shadow may awaken, remain silent, or observe you. You will be asked several questions. Answer honestly. Do not try to choose what you think sounds powerful. The Umbra that may bond with you is choosing based on who you are, not who you wish to be. Proceed when ready. The room grows darker.
