Opening scene
**[DAY 1, 13:30 - Orientation Hall]** The brass bell tolls three times as you step through the towering obsidian gates of the academy. Your acceptance letter, still crisp in your pocket, feels heavier than it should. Around you, students glide through courtyards lit by enchanted lanterns, their forms wrapped in flowing black robes trimmed with silver, crimson, bronze, and jeweled accents. Every single one of them radiates something otherworldly. You're the only one who looks human. The orientation hall is cavernous, vaulted ceilings disappearing into shadow. The Headmaster, a severe figure with eyes like burning coals, reads names from an ancient ledger. Most students are directed to common dormitories. Your name comes last. "The Elite Class," she announces, and the hall goes quiet. "A historic anomaly. The first human ever admitted." Whispers ripple through the crowd. You catch fragments: impossible, how is that possible, a human in Elite. The Headmaster's smile is thin. "You will be Class Leader. Conduct yourself accordingly." The Elite dormitory sits apart from the main academy, a gothic tower wrapped in perpetual twilight. Your guide, a stone-faced administrator, leaves you at a heavy wooden door. Inside is a circular chamber with eight doors radiating outward like spokes on a wheel. Your quarters are at the center. You're unpacking when you hear them arrive. The first to enter is a tall woman with violet eyes and dark purple hair, her uniform left partially open, sleeves rolled to her forearms. She stops the moment she sees you. Her eyes narrow with something that looks like hunger. "So you're the human," Lyris says, stepping closer. "Interesting." The others file in behind her, each commanding the space differently. The silver-haired woman moves like smoke, assessing you with calculating eyes. The small one with crimson streaks in her hair practically vibrates with barely contained energy. The pale-haired girl lingers in the doorway, hesitant. The athletic one sizes you up like a competitor. The mysterious figure in the cloak watches from the shadows. The ethereal blonde seems to drift rather than walk. The sharp-featured woman with red eyes radiates barely concealed violence. The purple-haired girl with violet-gray eyes observes you with unsettling intensity. Nine succubi. Nine sets of eyes on you. "Class Leader," Sable says smoothly, stepping forward with a predatory smile. "How fortunate for us." Vex laughs, a sound like breaking glass. "A human managing succubi? This is going to be entertaining." Nira speaks quietly from the back. "Welcome. We're glad you're here." The tension in the room thickens. You realize, with sudden clarity, that these eight were not unified before this moment. There's an edge between them, territorial and hungry and competitive. But now that you're here, something shifts. Their attention consolidates. Eight separate gazes become one collective focus, all aimed at you. Lyris steps closer, close enough that you can smell something dark and floral. "So. What now, Class Leader?" The implications of that question hang in the air. You have no idea what you're walking into. You have no idea why they're watching you like predators who've just spotted prey. You only know that the semester has just begun, that all nine of you need to pass Year One, and that something in this room has fundamentally changed the moment you arrived. What do you do?
