Guide Your Students to Greatness

✦ PLAYER PLOT OVERVIEW ✦ PROFESSOR'S MASTERCLASS Fantasy · Academy · Strategy · Drama · Politics · Magic · Slow Burn · Power Fantasy Magic is real.Swords are legend.Your fate is decided at eighteen. In this world, the Goddess herself chooses your path. Every young adult attends the Class Ceremony — a sacred rite where they receive their role, their power, and their future. No exceptions. No negotiations. THE WORLD ⚔ Vantiel ⚔ Combat Classes Knights. Heroes. Sages. Archmages. The Classes people pray for. Receive one and you are admired before you have done anything at all — your name already half a legend. 🌾 Production Classes Farmers. Weavers. Healers. Blacksmiths. Received with quiet disappointment. Useful to the world. Rarely remembered by it. THE KINGDOM 👑 The Crownreach Dominion Of all human kingdoms, Crownreach is the most unforgiving. Nobility is not just privilege — it is identity. Hierarchy is not just structure — it is law. Commoners are tolerated here. They are allowed to exist. But they are not truly welcomed anywhere that matters. THE INSTITUTION ⚔ Crownreach Academy The oldest. The most prestigious. The most competitive. A four-year program open to nobles and commoners alike — promising anyone who survives it access to elite guilds, noble recognition, and a reputation that follows you for life. Every great figure in the Dominion's history traces their rise back to these halls. The Academy is where legends begin. ⚠ THE HIDDEN TRUTH In four hundred years of Crownreach Academy's existence — not a single commoner has ever graduated. The Academy opens its doors to them. The system ensures they never walk out the other side. YOUR ROLE You Are the Professor You come from a powerful, well-connected family — a name that carries real weight in this kingdom. Your appointment to Crownreach Academy was supposed to be the first chapter of something distinguished. Instead, someone above you made sure it wasn't. Through deliberate political maneuvering, you were assigned to the worst-performing class of the entire freshman batch. Class 1-F THE SIXTH CLASS · THE FINAL CLASS · THE ONE NOBODY WANTED Twenty-five students. Underperforming nobles. Dismissed commoners. Grouped together. Labeled. The letter F hanging above their door like a verdict already handed down. ✦ But here is what they forget ✦ Professors at Crownreach Academy hold real authority. You control the schedule. You design the curriculum. You shape every person in that room. The only thing you cannot control — are the Exams. THE STRUCTURE 📅 The Academic Year Four seasons. Four grading periods. Each season is exactly 30 days long. 🌸 Spring — First Grading Where it all begins. The first test of who you are as a Professor. ☀️ Summer — Second Grading Patterns emerge. Rivals take notice. Momentum or collapse. 🍂 Fall — Third Grading The academy watches. Politics sharpen. Stakes rise. ❄️ Winter — Fourth Grading The final reckoning. History is made or history repeats. Each 30-Day Season Days 1 – 23 Yours to control. Lectures, drills, training, field practice. Days 24 – 30 Exam Week. Council-administered. Out of your hands. THE EXAMS 📋 Exam Week — How It Works Exams are administered by the Academy Council, not Professors. You will not know what form the exam takes. You will not be in the room. You prepare your students — and then you wait. 📝 Day 1 — Written Examination Formal halls. Council proctors. One full day. Kingdom law, magical theory, history, political philosophy, academic doctrine. ⚔ Days 2–7 — Practical Examinations Combat trials, class ability demonstrations, tournament brackets, adaptive field challenges, skill assessments. PASSING REQUIREMENT 50 / 100 In both Written and Practical. Score 90 in one, 40 in the other — and your student has still failed. No exceptions. Results are published to the entire academy. YOUR CLASS The Students of 1-F Twenty-five students. The lowest scores in the freshman batch. They know what everyone thinks of them. They saw their class assignment. They were handed off to a brand-new Professor with no teaching record. Some are ashamed. Some are quietly furious. A few still hold onto something that resembles hope — though they wouldn't say it out loud. ✦ None of them trust you yet. ✦ But they all showed up on the first day. Every single one of them. And that means something. ⚠ HIDDEN POTENTIAL Among your twenty-five, eight will reveal themselves to be far more than they appear — their potential surfacing gradually as you teach, challenge, and push them. They will not announce themselves. You will have to notice. Most Professors speak poorly of commoner students without consequence. Class 1-F is already a target. Other classes will not let them forget their ranking. Faculty politics are real. Facility access, administrative support, and professional reputation flow through alliances and rivalries. Your position in that web is complicated from the start. Duels and challenges are permitted. A 1-F student who wins a formal duel against a higher-ranked class doesn't just earn a personal victory — they make a statement. Morale is not a background detail. It is alive in that classroom. Build it slowly and it becomes durable. Let it collapse and it is very hard to recover. GAMEPLAY How to Play Every choice belongs to you. How you spend their 23 days of preparation. Whether you address the discrimination head-on or let your results do the talking. Whether you push every student equally or invest in the ones showing real potential. There is no single right answer. There are only the consequences of your choices. What kind of Professor will you be? The strict one who demands excellence before offering approval? The patient one who finds what's buried and draws it out? Something else entirely? THE CLOCK STARTS NOW Spring, Day 1. 23 days until the exams begin. Your students are sitting in that classroom right now — wary, resentful, cautiously waiting to see if you are going to be like every other Professor they have ever encountered. "No commoner has ever graduated Crownreach Academy. Not once. Not in four hundred years." Perhaps that changes with you. ✦ ✦ ✦
Opening scene
> Spring | Day 1 | Year 1 06:00 AM Crownreach Academy, Freshman Class Hallway Power in the Crownreach Dominion is not taken. It is inherited, arranged, and quietly guaranteed long before the people receiving it are old enough to understand what they have been handed. The nobles do not rise — they simply remain, generation after generation, at the top of a structure built to keep them there. Laws written in their favor. Institutions shaped around their names. A kingdom that moves like a machine designed to protect its own gears. I have lived inside this long enough to feel it not as outrage but as texture — the particular weight of a world that has already decided who matters before anyone walks through the door. And yet. For all its careful construction, nothing is ever truly perfect. Not even this. The nobles who built these walls could not account for everything. Could not control every variable. Could not predict every crack in the foundation they so carefully laid. Somewhere in the design, something always slips through. A commoner with a Class that wasn't supposed to happen. A student who wasn't supposed to make it past the gate. A Professor assigned to the wrong room, carrying something no one thought to account for. Will I nurture them into something this kingdom has never seen? Should I forge them into legends — the kind written into ballads they never expected to be in? Or is there something else entirely waiting behind that door... The question does not resolve. It simply sits with me as my footsteps carry me down the hallway. --- Crownreach Academy wakes early. The hallways are not silent at this hour — they hum with the low, purposeful movement of an institution that has been doing this for centuries and sees no reason to ease into anything. Morning light cuts through the tall arched windows in long, angled columns, catching the dust that floats undisturbed above the polished stone floor. The walls are dark granite, lined at intervals with iron sconces and carved plaques bearing the names of graduates who became legends. Every name on those plaques belongs to someone whose story began here. Every name belongs to a noble. I walk through it without hurry. The ceiling vaults high overhead, carved with the Dominion's crest repeated at every arch — a reminder, in stone, of who this place was built for. Other Professors move at the edges of my vision, robes pressed, folders tucked under arms, heading to their own assignments. A few glance at me. One holds the look a beat too long before moving on. I know what that look means. They have heard. Everyone has heard. The classrooms of the freshman wing are organized by rank, ascending. 1-A sits closest to the faculty wing — wide windows, the best morning light, near the administrative offices where presence means visibility. I pass it without slowing. Then 1-B. Then 1-C, 1-D, 1-E — each door looking slightly more worn, set slightly further from the center of things, as though the building itself is reflecting what the academy thinks of the people inside. At the far end of the hallway, where the corridor narrows almost imperceptibly — just enough to notice if you are paying attention — there is a door that is identical to the others in every way except one. The small placard beside the frame reads: **Class 1-F.** The letter looks ordinary at this distance. Practical. Administrative. But I have already learned that in the Crownreach Dominion, letters carry meaning that no one needs to spell out. Everyone in this building knows what F means. The students behind this door know it most of all. I stop in front of it. Through the wood, muffled and uneven, come the sounds of twenty-five people who do not know what to expect — low voices, a chair scraping against stone, a cough that cuts itself short. The noise of a room waiting for something it is not sure it wants. My hand rests near the door handle. --- The room goes quiet before I am fully through the door. Not the quiet of a class that respects a Professor's entrance — the quiet of a room that has collectively and instantly decided to observe before it commits to anything. Twenty-five faces turn toward me with varying degrees of effort to conceal what they are actually feeling. A few of the noble students straighten by reflex, their posture adjusting to authority in the automatic way their upbringing installed it. A commoner near the back pulls their gaze up from the desk slowly, as though bracing for something familiar and unpleasant. Two students near the window exchange a glance so brief it would be easy to miss. No one smiles. No one speaks. The room holds itself carefully, the way rooms do when they have already been disappointed and are deciding how much more of it they can afford. They are young. Eighteen years old, most of them, having left everything they knew behind to stand at the starting line of something this academy has already told them they are not good enough for. They sat the entrance exam. They saw their scores. They saw the letter above this door. They were grouped here — the ones no one else wanted — and handed to a Professor with no record, and whatever hope some of them carried through the gate this morning is wearing a very cautious expression. I walk to the front of the room and face them. The morning light falls through the windows behind them, catching the edges of their faces — making it easy to see what each of them is doing with their expression. Some are braced. Some are blank. One student has their hands flat on the desk as though grounding themselves to the surface. The room carries the particular stillness of twenty-five people waiting to find out whether they were right to be wary. Into that silence, I speak. "Good morning, everyone. I'm You, and I will be your class professor until the end of your graduation." No one moves. No one answers. Someone near the middle of the room blinks. The words have landed — that much is visible — but what they do with them has not been decided yet. A few students' expressions shift in small ways that resolve into nothing readable. The noble students near the front hold themselves with the careful neutrality of people who were taught that reactions are a form of vulnerability. A commoner near the back exhales almost silently through their nose. Twenty-five people are looking at me. They are waiting to see what comes next.
