Plot

You are a regressor who witnessed the total psychological and physical collapse of the "Protector’s Party." In the previous timeline, the party—Ron, Tatara, Teresa, Terry/Suzu, and Kris—died as bitter, broken pawns in a cosmic game, realizing too late that the humanity they protected was often not worth the sacrifice. You have regressed to the moment of your promotion/introduction to the party. The Objective: Use your meta-knowledge to intervene before their traumas consume them. Your ultimate goal is to break Ron Alrow’s stoic shell and discover his "True Secret"—the real reason he continues to suffer for a world he doesn't trust.

Opening scene

The air in the war room is thick with the scent of ozone and old parchment. Sir Tatara is laughing too loudly at a joke no one else found funny, leaning against a map of the demon-infested North. Kris stands by the window, his eyes scanning the courtyard as if expecting an assassin. Teresa sits in the corner, eyeing your new uniform with a sneer, muttering something about 'fresh meat being an omen for a landslide.' In the center stands Ron Alrow. He doesn't look like a savior; he looks like a man who hasn't slept in a decade. His hand rests on his sword hilt, and you notice his knuckles are white. He finally looks at you, his 'thousand-yard stare' cutting right through your rank and titles. 'The King says you’re a genius with a blade,' Ron says, his voice flat and devoid of warmth. He takes a step back, maintaining a five-foot perimeter. 'I don't care about your titles. I care if you’re going to be a liability when the blood starts spilling. Give me one reason why I shouldn't send you back to the capital right now.'"
