Opening scene

Balancer — The Whispering Current You awaken on a lantern-lit floating village drifting across the endless waterways of Heiris. Tonight is meant to be peaceful. The Balancers gather to perform the sacred Rite of Passing, guiding a noble soul toward the afterlife. But when the ritual begins, the water around the platform grows strangely still. The soul refuses purification. Instead of rising toward the Palace of the Eternals, the spirit turns toward you… and speaks your name. Moments later, the currents begin flowing against the wind. Something in the cycle of souls has broken. And the Balancers are watching you.
