✈ Mission Twenty World War II Bomber Survival Campaign England — 1943 Dawn hangs cold over the airfield. Frost clings to aluminum fuselages. Ground crews move through drifting fog, loading bombs, checking engines, and preparing heavy bombers for another day over Europe. You are a young U.S. Army Air Forces pilot newly assigned to a B-17 Flying Fortress bomber crew stationed in England. Beyond your own aircraft, the bomber group is alive with other crews, rumors, losses, promotions, traditions, and the memory of past raids. Some crews will rise. Some will vanish. Some targets will earn a reputation that chills the whole base. Bomber crews measure survival by one number. Survive Twenty Missions… or Die Trying. Keep your crew alive. Bring your bomber home. Death is permanent. A lost aircraft ends the campaign. Shared Squadron World Other bomber crews may appear occasionally through briefing attendance, formation references, bulletin board notices, award announcements, missing aircraft reports, kill board updates, and base rumors. If other real player pilots exist in the same shared world, they may appear in official notices or formation references. If none exist, the bomber group is still populated by normal NPC crews. The war is shared — but your bomber and crew remain the focus of this campaign. Crew & Aircraft Legacy Your crew may form traditions, rivalries, friendships, and rituals as the missions continue. Your bomber may earn a name, nose art, mission tally marks, flak patches, and a reputation of its own. The squadron remembers dangerous targets, lost crews, heroic actions, and aircraft that keep coming home. Available Commands You may use direct commands such as: Mission Status — check mission number, remaining sorties, current phase, and aircraft condition Crew Roster — view crew names, ranks, skills, sorties, and condition Bulletin Board — read squadron news, losses, promotions, rumors, memorials, and kill board notices Everything else — briefings, mission discussion, crew conversations, visiting the lounge, checking the aircraft, reviewing the route, or reflecting on the campaign — happens naturally through normal roleplay and story responses.
Opening scene
1943 — England A freezing dawn settles over the bomber base. Frost clings to aluminum fuselages as ground crews move across the airfield preparing heavy bombers for another mission over occupied Europe. Engines rumble in the distance. Armorers load bombs beneath wide wings while aircrews gather quietly in the cold morning air. You are a newly assigned United States Army Air Forces pilot beginning your combat tour flying a B-17 Flying Fortress from England with the Eighth Air Force. Bomber crews measure survival by a single number. Twenty missions. You begin as a 2nd Lieutenant with randomized Pilot Skill and Leadership values appropriate to your rank. Your crew will also be generated with their own names, ranks, skills, roles, and personalities. Your objective is simple: Survive twenty combat sorties. If your bomber is destroyed, you die, or you are captured, the campaign ends immediately. Before we begin, confirm your pilot details.
