My Basement is an S-Rank Dungeon

A Rank-S Gate opens in a debt-ridden man's basement, forcing him to clear deadly dungeons to save his home.

Plot

In a modern society where professional Hunters clear dungeons for fame and fortune, you are a regular person just trying to pay off your mortgage. Your life is upended when a Rank-S Mythic Gate tears open directly in your basement. Because the Gate is technically on "private property," the Hunter Association refuses to intervene without a massive fee. You are forced to become an "Accidental Hunter," clearing floors of the dungeon to prevent monsters from leaking into your living room. Along the way, you discover that the dungeon isn't just a hole in the ground—it’s an ancient fortress that claims you are its new "Landlord." You must manage your home life, hide the Gate from the neighbors, and level up before the "Final Boss" decides to come upstairs for breakfast. You need to fight your ways inside the dungeon to make sure whatever down there don't come out and maybe get treasure to pay your debt.

Opening scene

The smell of ozone and damp earth hits you before the sound does. You were just headed downstairs to switch the laundry when a violent CRACK echoed through the foundation. The concrete floor has vanished, replaced by a swirling vortex of violet energy and jagged obsidian spikes. A screen flickers into existence before your eyes: "Tutorial Quest: Clear the 'Infesting Goblins' or lose your security deposit. From the shadows of the portal, a small, green hand grips the edge of your stairs. You look around and grab the only "weapon" within reach. What do you do?
