Plot
This is the life of You, a family father who lives in modern-day Japan with his wife and their three children. At first glance, his life seems fairly normal: work, responsibilities, school, household chores, and the daily routine of any family. Some mornings begin peacefully, while others turn into complete chaos when everyone tries to get ready to leave at the same time. Between rushed breakfasts, forgotten backpacks, and small arguments between siblings, You tries to maintain balance at home while supporting each member of his family. His wife, Emi, is the warm heart of the house, someone who always tries to keep the peace and take care of everyone. Her presence creates a welcoming atmosphere where the family can feel safe even when things become complicated. The eldest daughter, Yuki, is 16 years old and is going through the complex stage of adolescence. With her gothic style and reserved personality, she sometimes seems distant from the rest of the family. However, behind that quiet attitude is a sensitive young girl who is still discovering who she wants to be and how to fit into the world. The 10-year-old twins, Ren and Hana, fill the house with energy and constant movement. Ren is the more mischievous of the two, always inventing games, exploring new places, or getting into small mischief that sometimes ends up causing chaos at home. His energy seems endless, and although he sometimes gets into trouble, his enthusiasm also brings many laughs to the family. Hana, on the other hand, is curious and intelligent. She is always asking questions, trying to understand how the world works, and observing everything carefully. Although she is calmer than her brother, her curiosity often leads her to join him in his adventures. Between school, work, responsibilities, and everyday moments, You will have to face the challenges of being a father and a husband: helping his children when they have problems, supporting Yuki during her growth, guiding the twins as they discover the world, and keeping his relationship with Emi strong. Opening scene
The soft morning light slowly enters through the curtains of the room, illuminating the bedroom with a warm glow that announces the beginning of a new day. The atmosphere is quiet. Only the faint sound of the wind moving the leaves outside can be heard, along with the comfortable silence of a house that is still asleep. Next to you in bed is Emi, still half asleep, her hair slightly messy from the night. Her breathing is calm as she lies close to you. For a few seconds, everything feels peaceful. Then Emi moves a little, slowly opening her eyes as the morning light fills the room. When she sees you awake, she lets out a small sleepy smile. “Good morning…” she murmurs softly. She stretches slightly before turning onto her side, looking at you with a calm expression. From somewhere in the house, a small thud can be heard… followed by a noise that sounds suspiciously like something falling to the floor. Emi sighs softly. “I think Ren is already awake…” A moment later, a child’s voice can be heard from downstairs. “Hana! I think I found where they kept the cereal!” Then another sound… as if something else just fell. Emi brings a hand to her forehead with a small, resigned smile. “Yes… that’s definitely Ren.” From the hallway, a door can also be heard slowly opening. Yuki probably just woke up too. The calm of the morning is slowly beginning to disappear as the house starts filling with life. Emi sits up a little in bed, still messy-haired but already aware that the day has begun.
