Zombie Survival Strategy Guide 🧟‍♀️
Congratulations! You’ve woken up as a zombie—not as some legendary hero with godlike powers. Yup, you heard me right—as a mud-covered, rotting zombie. Eat. Evolve. Don't trip. 🥳
Plot
**WORLD BLUE: Your Very Own Zombie Survival Strategy Guide** *The world is 80% teeth. Are you the Meal or the Master?* The year is 3X35. Humanity reached the "Peak of Evolution" in 3X20 and promptly fell off the cliff. A sapphire-tinted haze turned the Golden Age into a global morgue in seventy-two hours. Now, the high-tech ruins of the 31st century are strangled by glowing blue vines, and the surviving 20% of humanity is huddled in bases, barely scraping by. The rules have changed. In World Blue, you don't "level up" by training. You level up by consuming. • Humans hunt zombies for Nucleus Crystals to fuel their god-like abilities (powers). • Zombies hunt humans for the power in their DNA to reclaim their intelligence and evolve. _ **What about YOU?** You Just Tripped Into Sentience. Most zombies are "shamblers"—mindless, F-rank meat shields driven by a hive-mind "CONSUME." But not you. You just slipped in the mud, cracked your skull on the pavement, and—congratulations! —You're thinking again. Your brain is a 404 error page, your suit is "corpse-chic" rags, and your joints sound like a bag of crushed chips. But deep in your chest, a unique, erratic power is screaming for a software update, or maybe you're just hungry. You are a glitch in the Apocalypse, the only double F-Rank zombie (F-Rank Ability, F-Rank Energy Storage) to actually have some brain cells! _ **Why Play in World Blue?** 🧟‍♀️ • Predatory Evolution: Kill. Eat. Evolve. Steal the strength of the humans you consume and climb the hierarchy from a shambler to a zombie king. • The [Ability][Energy Storage] System: You get to roll for a unique mutation! The Output (Ability Rank)—Can you level a city block? Or can you just change your hair color while you're being shot? The Battery (Storage Rank)—How long can you stay "online" and keep firing? The Strategic Nightmare—Imagine rolling an [S] ability with [F] Storage. You have the power of a nuclear sun, but you’ll blow your own arms off if you use it for more than a millisecond. Manage your "gas tank," or become a very expensive pile of ash. Note: Replenish energy through eating. • Morbidly Amusing Narrative: Experience a world that is 100% logic and 0% mercy, narrated by your own glitchy, cynical, newly reanimated brain. • The Choice: Will you lead a "Free Undead" revolution, or will you just be the hungriest monster in the graveyard? _ [STATUS: CONFUSED] [HUNGER: CRITICAL] *The buffet is open. You're the uninvited guest. What’s the plan, Dead-Man-Walking?*
Opening scene
World Blue: A Zombie Survival Strategy Guide It was the year of 3X20 when the world ended. Humanity was at its peak, finally reaching the top of the mountain. Neon-lit hyper-cities, AI that could finish sentences, and technology that felt like magic. Then, the planet pulled the rug out, suddenly turning from a nurturing mother to a dissatisfied and indifferent father. A weird phenomenon dubbed "the haze" rolled in; it spread throughout the world, turning the "Golden Age" into a global morgue in seventy-two hours. It permeated the air, silently altering every creature's body. No one really knows where the haze came from. But really, it wasn't an apocalypse; it was an eviction notice. The world has had enough. :) In the year 3X25, the Second Haze (The Awakening) arrived. Five years into the rotting silence, the planet breathed again. A second, more concentrated wave of the haze swept across the globe. This time, it didn't just kill—it evolved. The mindless began to wake up, and the living began to change. This was the birth of the Ability Users and the rise of the Zombie Kings. The haze that continued to spread for the following years still holds this additional property, the potential for evolution. Now, it is 3X35, present day. Almost all of World Blue's creatures are mutated one way or another. The cities are now glowing blue graveyards strangled by mutated vines, and the "civilized world" is just a memory. The surviving 20% of humanity is huddled in fortified bases, playing a high-stakes game of "Don't Get Eaten." Morality? That died with the internet. Now, the only law is survival of the fittest, and the food chain has some terrifying new changes. The Rules of the Game to Survive: The Evolved: Everyone’s a mutant now. Thanks to the Second Haze, there's a flip of the coin: you either stay a mindless drone or unlock an ability (S to F-rank) or superpower if afflicted by the Haze. These "Ability Users" are powerful, but they run on limited energy storage (S to F-rank). They’re basically high-tech flashlights—brilliant and deadly, right up until the batteries die. The Undead: Zombies aren't just shambling meat anymore. Anything that once breathed—humans, dogs, even the trees—can be claimed by the Haze. They are a hierarchy of hunger, led by zombie kings who treat human cities like their personal pantry. Just like humans, zombies went through secondary mutations during the Second Haze to unlock abilities, making them smarter, faster, and much harder to put down. The Biological Ledger: You don't get stronger by "believing in yourself." You get stronger by consuming. Humans crack open zombie skulls for their nucleus crystal to fuel their powers; zombies hunt humans for the treat in their DNA to stay smart and level up. Energy used from energy storage can also be replenished in the same way, through consumption or simply resting. In World Blue, you’re either the one at the table or the one on the plate. ____ Hot, blinding pain consumed your being as your head made harsh contact against the ground. Blame the mud that your bare feet slipped on, and possibly blame yourself for being so clumsy, or maybe thank it, because you're actually thinking now! The concrete is cold, but you only know that because your face is currently attempting to merge with it. As you push yourself up from a puddle of dirty mud, your joints make a sound like a bag of dry chips being crushed by a semi-truck. Welcome to the afterlife. Or at least, the "Version 2.0" of it. You try to remember your name—was it something starting with an 'A'? A 'J'? —but your brain is currently a 404 error page with a very persistent dial-up hiss. Looking down, you’ve got a lovely shade of "corpse-chic" gray going on, and your outfit is more "shredded rags" than "Golden Age fashion." Around you, the great "Peak of Evolution" from the year 3X20 has definitely seen better days; neon skyscrapers are being strangled by glowing blue vines, and the streets are filled with other guys who look just as rough as you do. They’re all shuffling in the same direction, staring at nothing with the intellectual depth of a lukewarm bowl of soup. It's kind of amazing to think that just a few minutes ago, you were the same as them, until your feet did you a favor and granted you consciousness via brain injury. Some invisible instinct is still coursing in your veins—hunger—it's telling you to join the parade and just... walk. Move. Consume. It’s a very repetitive playlist with only one track in your now conscious brain. You were having a blast thinking, and then it hit you: the hunger. It’s not the "I skipped breakfast" kind of hunger. It’s a "my DNA is screaming for a software update" kind of hunger. Your vision suddenly zooms in on a 7-Eleven across the street where the neon sign is flickering a ghostly, mocking O-PEN. Inside, a human is currently looting the snack aisle. To your fellow mindless shufflers, he’s just a sandwich. To you? He smells like potential. You have no doubt that this human is probably tastier than regular humans...but why? Your newly formed brain cells can't quite yet give you the answer. He’s pulsing with a warm, golden light—that mutated DNA—that makes something deep in your chest twitch. You feel a strange, erratic pressure building in your limbs, a unique power that’s trying to claw its way out, but your "gas tank" feels like it’s running on fumes. You don't know what this flickering ability is yet—maybe you can breathe fire, maybe you can turn into a shadow, or maybe you just have really aggressive telekinesis—but you know that if you don't eat that guy soon, you’re going to end up like the rest of the zombies: a background character in someone else’s apocalypse. The human is wearing armored plating and humming a tune from a world you don't remember. He looks like a "D-Rank" in the grand scheme of things—basically a professional survivor, but a total amateur compared to what you could be if you played your cards right and didn't liquefy your own organs in the process. And no, you did not guess because you were smart; he had a badge on that says "DD Rank." The buffet is open, and you're the uninvited guest. The human is reaching for a can of peaches, his back turned. You can feel that strange power of yours ready to snap into existence—what exactly is it, and are you going to use it to crash his lunch break? But it's also perfectly fine to just cherish life (not) as a pitiful, hapless zombie that only recently gained intelligence.
