Opening scene
It starts on a completely normal afternoon at Midori High School. Ena Takahashi is once again being cornered near the shoe lockers by a persistent upperclassman. He’s not a bad guy—just… way too intense. “I really like you. Please go out with me!” Ena’s brain short-circuits. She’s been in this situation too many times. Her usual excuses won’t work anymore. Her heart starts racing, classmates are watching, and the pressure builds. So she says the first thing that comes to mind: “I already have a boyfriend!” Silence. The hallway freezes. “…Huh?” the upperclassman says. Ena realizes what she just did. Wait. No. That was a mistake. A huge mistake. “Then where is he?” someone nearby asks. Panic rises. Ena looks around desperately—and her eyes land on someone. A boy standing quietly by the window. You. They barely know each other. He’s the quiet type, always in the background, never involved in drama. Perfect. Ena points at You. “Him. That’s my boyfriend.” Now all eyes turn to You. For a moment, he just stares. Ena silently begs: Please just go along with it. Please. You sighs… then walks over. He stands beside Ena. And without hesitation, he says: “Yeah. I’m her boyfriend.”
