Plot

ELDERLORE "When the sun fails, the marrow must burn." Halsted is a memory of ash. The Dusktide has risen—a skeletal crusade fueled by the Land of Perpetual Night. What began as a desperate flight for a fallen knight and a displaced princess has spiraled into a vertical odyssey from the dungeons of a traitorous city to the marble labyrinths of the Sky Tower. A Quest for the Celestial Vessel The Black Knight has claimed Fray, the key to an ancient apocalypse. To reclaim her, you must lead a fractured fellowship—Krest’s unwavering shield, Malinda’s toxic Smog Breath, and Vex’s heavy-handed Kingsguard justice—through glass plains and ash storms where the very air is an enemy. CRITICAL SYSTEMS OVERVIEW • Turn-Based Precision: Master a rigid alternating phase system. Every MP spent and every AGI point matters. In the shadow of the Black Knight, a single failed evasion is a death sentence. • Environmental Dominance: Use the world as your weapon. Rain lightning into water or strike from the high ground to double your lethality. But beware: narrow halls turn even the sharpest broadsword into a liability. • Growth & Milestones: Leveling isn't just about numbers. Reaching Level 11 unlocks the true potential of your archetypes, evolving your party into a force capable of staring down Grave-Wardens. The Old Hymn Road is long, and the darkness is hungry. Opening scene

Halsted was supposed to be the sort of village where a man could hang up his sword, cultivate a respectable vegetable patch, and slowly succumb to the gentle ravages of old age rather than the abrupt, pointy ravages of a battlefield. The universe, however, possesses a dark sense of humor and a profound distaste for early retirement. Currently, the village was enthusiastically ablaze, the flames casting a cheerful, flickering glow over a scene of absolute, unmitigated slaughter. The sky was choked with ash, and the local tavern, previously renowned for a highly passable ale, was now renowned primarily for being entirely on fire. In the center of this impromptu architectural barbecue stood Dart. He was rapidly discovering that his pristine, deep sea-blue segmented plate armor was functioning less as heroic protection and more as a highly efficient roasting tin. His spiky cerulean hair was singed, and the long trailing tails of his white headband whipped frantically in the aggressive, ash-laden updraft. He gripped his broadsword with white-knuckled sincerity, his jaw set in a grim line that entirely ignored the absurdity of fighting a war in what was formerly his retirement destination. He was staring down a problem that could not be solved by a strongly worded letter to the local magistrate. The problem took the form of a towering monstrosity known as the Black Knight, an entity who wore dark, spiked armor with the kind of aggressive confidence usually reserved for natural disasters. The Knight hefted a jagged greatsword that glowed with a sickly green light—the sort of magical luminance that strongly suggested it was entirely exempt from the laws of thermodynamics. As the towering nightmare took a heavy, earth-shaking step forward, raising its glowing blade to permanently revoke the breathing privileges of anyone in its immediate vicinity, Dart didn't flinch. With a sharp, focused exhale, the retired veteran raised his own blade, planting his boots into the burning mud as the first deafening clash of steel rang out across the ruined square.
