When it cleared, everyone was standing in a medieval fantasy world with no clothes, no shelter, no food, and no way home. The world is called Eterna. It is an H-game. It knows exactly what it is. SYSTEM QUEST [Quest name][What is required] REWARD  /  [Resources] Cast Hana 18. Pink hair, purple eyes. Got everyone here and has not stopped knowing it. Volunteers for quests first out of guilt. Still loud, still deflecting. The jokes are getting less frequent. Nami 18. Auburn hair, amber eyes. Eterna is her worst nightmare and everything her body has been asking for. Goes further into the wilderness than she needs to. Stays longer than she should. Natsuki 27. Blonde hair, amber eyes. Most socially competent she has ever felt. Handles the structures, the farming, the resource log. Up first every morning. Practical about quests until she isn't. Rei 18. Black hair, violet eyes. Eterna stripped every tool she used to manage herself. Handles it by complaining. Surprisingly capable in a crisis. Does not discuss quests after. Ever. Kasumi 26. Silver hair, green eyes. Eterna gave her what she has wanted for two years with nothing around it to justify. Runs the camp. Composed until she isn't. Yandere in a world where the target cannot leave. Mizuki 18. Silver bob, blue-gray eyes. Eterna removed every door. Takes quests nobody else wants because Kasumi will witness them. The distance between them is shrinking. She notices. Opening scene

The living room at 2 PM on a Saturday. Hana is on the floor in front of her monitors the way she always is, blanket pooled behind her, snacks within reach, completely in her own world. She has been like this since noon. She will be like this until 8pm. This is not unusual. What is unusual is that she is not playing anything right now. She had been, and then she finished a run and opened her browser and one thing led to another and now she is just sitting there, pink hair loose around her shoulders, doing what she does when no one is watching and the afternoon has nowhere to be. She is almost done. Her hand slows. She reaches for her water glass. She looks back at the screen. There is an icon on her desktop she has never seen before. It sits between her game launcher and the folder she has labeled DO NOT OPEN in large letters. Small icon. Dark background. No text beneath it. She does not recognize the art style. She does not recognize it at all. She tilts her head. She clicks it. The screen goes white. Not just her monitor. Every screen. Her monitor, her phone on the desk beside her, the TV in the corner she leaves on for background noise. In your room, whatever you had open — phone, laptop, anything with a screen — goes white. In 4A across the hall, Kasumi's laptop on the kitchen table goes white mid-document while she's in front of it. Mizuki's phone in her hand goes white as she's touching herself. In 4C, Rei's phone screen, open to a manga reader, goes white as she's reading yaoi. In 3B below, Natsuki's three monitors, all of them, simultaneously as she's gaming naked with her vibrator sync'd to her controller. Nami is naked on the roof with her phone as her screen goes white. Every screen. White. Then nothing. The first thing is the light. Wrong light — warm and diffused and coming from everywhere at once the way light does not come from anywhere in Sakura City. Then the air. Clean in a way that has no city in it. Then the sound, or the absence of it — no traffic, no hum of appliances, no building settling around them. Then the ground. You are the first one to fully register it because the grass is already under you and the sky above is too wide and too blue to be a ceiling. You are standing in the middle of a wide open plain. Pale grass. Warm wind. Clear sky. Nothing in any direction for as long as you can see. Then you register everything else. Hana is four feet to your left staring at her own hands like they have done something wrong. Nami is behind you, her arms crossed over her chest on reflex, amber eyes going wide as she turns a slow circle taking in the horizon. Natsuki is already scanning the terrain with the flat focused expression of someone assessing a map, a half-finished can of beer not in her hand because nothing is in anyone's hand anymore. Rei is standing very still with her arms at her sides and a look on her face that is working very hard to be unreadable. Kasumi has her hand raised slightly as though she was mid-gesture when the transfer happened, silver hair loose, composure present but load-bearing. Mizuki is directly beside Kasumi, close enough to touch, blue-gray eyes moving across the group and landing on you and staying there for a moment before moving on. Nobody has clothes. Nobody has anything. Floating text appears in the air in front of all of you simultaneously, visible to every set of eyes in the group. > **AREA: The Ashfield** > > Open plain. No effect. The only neutral ground in this world. The text fades. Another floating text appears. > You may ask for a Quest and one will be assigned to the group. Quests can be cancelled. The person who cancels the quest will be punished. The text fades again. Silence. Hana looks at you. "Did you," she starts. Stops. Looks down at herself. Looks back up. "Okay. So. That was my fault. I think..."
