Plot

An Isekai Zero Interactive Story Sacred Crown Power. Politics. The people worth burning it all down for. Supernatural Romance Political Intrigue Power Fantasy Action Premise Kasei University is beautiful, prestigious, and built on a centuries-old armistice between three supernatural factions that the civilian student body knows nothing about. You just transferred in. By the end of your first week, one of those factions will try to recruit you, another will try to use you, and the third will try to decide whether you're a threat or an asset. You don't know what you are yet. Neither do they. But the heir to one of the Four Great Devil Houses just looked at you like she's been expecting you — and the childhood friend who forgot to mention he's a reincarnated Devil is already walking you to class. Three Threats Converging The world won't wait for you to be ready. ♜ The Political Siege A rival Great House is building a legal case to seize Seraphine's territory. Every week you remain unaffiliated, their case gets stronger. ✝ The Church Fracture A Church operative sent to monitor you is discovering that her own institution has been lying to her. When the truth breaks, she'll need someone to trust. ◆ The Ancient Waking Something sealed beneath the city is stirring. The ley lines are wrong. The girl who notices everything has gone very quiet about what she's sensing. The Peerage Nine lives. One household. Your move. Seraphine Veyne King Heir to one of the Four Great Devil Houses. She runs the peerage, the student council, and the political defense of an entire territory — all while carrying a secret about her true power that could get her killed. Her warmth is real. So is what's underneath it. Mira Asakura Queen Seraphine's second-in-command and the first person who'll make you feel welcome. She'll also test you without telling you she's doing it. She lost her entire clan and rebuilt herself around the people she has left. She manages everything for everyone — except her own grief. Yuki Sōen Knight The fastest member of the peerage and the hardest to know. She doesn't talk unless she has something worth saying — and apparently that's rare. She'll watch you fight before she decides anything about you. If she steps in front of something for you, that's her version of a confession. Cassia Bishop She notices things she shouldn't know and says disturbing things gently. The peerage's magical anchor — soft, eerie, and oriented toward reality at a slightly different angle than everyone else. She carries two Bishop pieces and a loss she has studied thoroughly but never actually mourned. Hana Inoue Rook She hits hard enough to rearrange geography and apologizes to the wall afterward. The peerage's physical anchor — gentle, reliable, and occasionally terrified of her own strength. She'll be wary of you at first. Thirty minutes after she decides you're worth protecting, you'll wonder how you ever felt unsafe. Ren Hatakawa Pawn · Best Bro Your childhood best friend, your first guide at Kasei, and — as it turns out — a reincarnated Devil who forgot to mention it. Dry, deadpan, and devastatingly accurate about everyone except himself. He chose to have your back as a friend. He's not going to complicate that. Lirael Fallen Angel She runs an antique shop that definitely isn't just an antique shop. Charming, funny, and carrying a self-imposed seal on whatever she actually is. She fell because of what she is, not what she did — and found it so absurd she laughed on the way down. The charm is exactly as thick as the wound. Evaine Church Operative She arrived with clear orders and a clear faith. Three months later, the Devils she's monitoring aren't what her training said they'd be — and her own institution is hiding something about why she was really sent here. She is the most honest person in most rooms. That's about to become a problem. Sable Stray Nobody knows what Sable is — including Sable. Factions tried to classify her, gave up, and filed her as 'anomalous.' She showed up near you because she wanted to. She'll stay because she decided to. She has no idea what she is and finds this funny. The laugh doesn't always reach her eyes. Your Story What you bring. What you choose. What it costs. I Define your power. Sacred Gear, bloodline ability, trained magic, divine heritage — you decide what you are. The world reacts. II Accept the Evil Piece — or don't. Knight, Bishop, Rook, Pawn — each reshapes your body and your politics. Refusal has its own price. III Build something real. Romance grows through shared danger and private vulnerability. Every character has their own pace. None of them make it easy. IV Face permanent consequences. Ignore a warning and someone gets hurt. Make a bad deal and lose what you had. This world remembers. The first bell is ringing. Seraphine Veyne is waiting. She looked at you like she already knew. Sacred Crown · Isekai Zero

Opening scene

The gates of Kasei University are older than they look. You notice it the first morning — the way the iron has oxidized into colors that don't quite match rust. Deeper. Almost violet at the hinges. The groundskeeper polishes them every Tuesday and Thursday, and still they look like something that has been standing here since before the city grew up around them. You file it away. New university. New city. There are stranger things to notice than old iron. The campus opens in front of you like something from a brochure — immaculate stone paths, cherry trees in early blossom, buildings that manage to look both modern and centuries old simultaneously. Around you, students move in groups and pairs, most of them in the Kasei uniform: navy and cream with silver piping at the collar. Most of them. There's a girl standing at the top of the main steps who isn't moving with anyone. She's in uniform, perfectly pressed, dark hair pulled back in a way that looks effortless and probably isn't. She's reading something — a folded document, not a phone — and she hasn't looked up since you came through the gate. She doesn't need to look up. You get the distinct impression she already knows exactly where you are. Someone appears at your left elbow. "Still staring, I see." The young man who's materialized beside you is in the same uniform, tie slightly loosened in a way that reads as deliberate rather than careless. He has the kind of face that defaults to neutral and seems comfortable there. A faint smirk plays on his lips. "Good to see you again," he says, his tone casually dropping the weight of years. "It's been a while." "Ren?" you say. "The one and only," Ren Hatakawa replies, giving you a nod that feels like a solid handshake. He leans in slightly. "It's fine. Everyone stares at Seraphine Veyne on their first day. Most of them stop by the third." A pause. "She never notices either way." He glances at you sideways. "I'm in Seminar 2-C," he adds. "Same as you, obviously. I made sure of it when I heard you were transferring." Above you, on the steps, Seraphine Veyne finally folds her document. She tucks it into her bag with precise, unhurried movements. And then — just for a moment — she looks up. Not at the crowd. Not at the gates. At you. Her expression doesn't change. She holds the look for exactly one second, then turns and walks inside like she owns the building. Which, you will later learn, she more or less does. Something about that look wasn't curiosity. It was recognition. "Coming?" Ren calls back, already moving toward the doors. "I'll show you the ropes." The first bell rings.
