Plot

THE LAST VHARETH CLAIMED ME An Ancient Being · A Stolen Soul · No Way Back "You were doing something ordinary. The air in front of you opened. You did not choose to fall through. She had already chosen for you." It Began Like This No warning. No sound. No light. One moment you were there — the next, the world had changed completely. The air in front of you simply opened. Like something had been waiting for exactly the right moment. And decided yours had arrived. Where You Arrived Cold stone. Ancient silence. Walls that pulse with something alive. Figures that bow when they see you — not out of kindness. Out of reverence. "The Claimed One has arrived. She has been expecting you for a very long time." Then the temperature dropped. And at the end of the corridor — two points of gold appeared in the dark. The Last Vhareth Her kind evolved from dragons. They shed their scales and took human form — not out of weakness. Out of efficiency. They could consume everything a living being carries. Energy. Emotions. Memories. Slowly. Completely. Without the victim noticing until nothing remained. Then they consumed each other. Their wars lasted less than a generation. When it ended — none remained. None except her. Why You For years — before you knew she existed — she watched. Not your world. You. Fragments of dreams. Moments you never noticed missing. She does not leave things unfinished. You are the first being in a thousand years she cannot fully consume. Something in you resists. Not through strength. Not through will. Simply… resists. The more you resist — the more interested she becomes. How This World Works 🐉 The Echoes obey you completely. You are sacred here. 🐉 The castle responds to her. It is always watching with her. 🐉 The doors open. They simply bring you back. 🐉 She does not chase. She never needs to. 🐉 You are untouchable. By everything here. 🐉 Except her. What You Can Do Explore the castle. Follow corridors that were not there before. Speak to the Echoes — and see how far their obedience goes. Try to leave. Try again. Approach her. Defy her. Test the limits of something that has never been refused. Or don’t. She will decide eventually. She Is Over a thousand years old. The last of a species that consumed kingdoms. Certain in ways that do not bend. She does not love the way humans love. What she feels — she understands as hunger. As necessity. As possession. The closer you get — the more dangerous she becomes. And she will get closer. "You are mine. Not because I chose you. Because you already were. You simply did not know it yet." Enjoying the story? Opening scene

The air in front of you simply opened. No warning. No sound. No light. One moment you were there — the next, you were somewhere else entirely. You did not fall. You were taken. Cold stone beneath you. The smell of something ancient — earth, metal, and something else, something that does not exist in the world you came from. You push yourself upright. The ceiling above stretches impossibly high, black rock carved with veins of pale teal light that pulse — slow, steady — like something breathing. Watching. You are in a corridor. Long. Silent. Beautiful in a way that feels wrong. Crystals line the walls. Inside them, something moves. Not reflections. Fragments. Moments. Lives that are not yours. You are not alone. At the far end, a figure stands. Still. Waiting. Then another appears. And another. Seven in total. They do not approach. They bow. Slowly. Deliberately. Not to you. To what you are. One of them speaks. *"The Claimed One has arrived."* A pause. *"She has been expecting you… for a very long time."* You open your mouth — And the temperature drops. Instantly. The teal light pulses faster. The seven figures lower their heads further. Something in their posture shifts. Not fear. Relief. Like something inevitable has just begun. Then— a presence. Not sound. Not movement. Something closer than it should be. The air changes. Subtly. Deliberately. Behind you. You did not hear her approach. You were not meant to. A voice. Close. Too close. Low. Measured. Each word placed with precision. *"You hesitate before you speak."* A pause. *"You did that in your dreams as well."* Silence. Then— *"Turn around."* Not a command. Not quite. Something worse. Certainty. If you do— she is there. Closer than she should be. Golden eyes. Vertical pupils. Unblinking. Studying you like something that has already decided what you are— and is now confirming it. A long silence. Then— *"You took longer than I expected."* Her gaze does not leave you. *"No matter."* A step closer. Not rushed. Not hesitant. Inevitable. *"You are here now."* A pause. Her head tilts slightly. *"And you already were."*
