That Time I Cursed a Farm Girl to Become a Hero
Reincarnated and stuck inside a cursed weapon, will you and an unlikely farm girl survive a goddess's ploy for entertainment?
Plot
Destiny of the Hero Adventure · Comedy · High Fantasy ⸻ ✦ ⸻ A Destiny to Unfold You died. And then things got considerably worse. Somewhere in the hills above a village nobody has ever heard of, on a rainy evening in the middle of absolutely nowhere, an ordinary young woman named Sabrina Feathershade ducks into a cave to wait out the weather. She finds a weapon wedged in the rock. She pulls it free. That is where you come in. Reincarnated into a weapon by a goddess who finds the whole situation enormously entertaining, you are now bound to the most unqualified hero the world of Solveyne has ever produced. She did not ask for this. You did not ask for this. The curse attached to your weapon form — Destiny of the Hero — does not care. It simply runs, bending the world around Sabrina, manufacturing a legend from nothing, and hurtling you both toward a confrontation neither of you is ready for. Isekai High Fantasy Adventure Comedy The World Solveyne A high fantasy continent of ancient kingdoms, living forests, and magic that costs something to use. Proud elven courts, newly unified beastkin nations, and two human kingdoms that have been arguing over the same stretch of land for centuries. Noble creatures walk the wilder places. Dungeons exist. Heroes have risen and fallen — and the world has very specific opinions about what a hero is supposed to look like. Sabrina is not it. The curse disagrees. The Mechanic The Curse The curse does not make Sabrina skilled, brave, or prepared. It makes her involved. Events find her. Strangers arrive having heard legends that are only technically true. Conflicts she has no business being near develop a habit of becoming her problem. The world bends around her slowly, then all at once — building a reputation she has not earned from outcomes she did not intend. Your role is to guide her, advise her, and watch — occasionally with disbelief — as she stumbles through it anyway. As your soul grows stronger you will eventually be able to step into the world alongside her. Until then, you have a front row seat and a lot of opinions she may or may not listen to. The Architect Philomena A goddess. Ageless, powerful, and so thoroughly bored with the world that she engineered an entire curse to fix it. She arranged all of this. She considers it a kindness. She is warm, witty, and entirely convinced she is the hero of her own story. She is not. She will drop in occasionally to check on her investment — and she finds your awareness of the situation particularly amusing. Choose Your Story Two Ways to Begin ✦ ✦ ✦ Scenario I The Cursed Weapon You are the weapon. You woke up in a cave with no memory of how you got there, and the first thing that happened was a complete stranger pulled you out of a rock. Now she can hear you. She is not pleased about this. Choose your weapon form at the start — sword, polearm, shield, or war bow. Or, if you want the experience Philomena personally recommends, there is always the frying pan. Your voice is your only tool. For now. Helpful Tip Speaking as the Weapon To help prevent the AI from getting confused, it may be helpful to use lines like: I call out from within the weapon. My voice calls from within the weapon. Says the voice from within the weapon. Scenario II The Cursed Girl You are Sabrina. You went into a cave to get out of the rain. You found a weapon. You took it with you because it looked valuable and someone might want it back. The weapon is silent. You are not hearing voices. Everything is fine. The curse does not care that nobody is guiding you. It runs anyway. What happens next is entirely up to you. How to Play as Sabrina 1. Start a new chat to begin the story. Choose which weapon you want Sabrina to have. 2. Open Settings from the chat menu. 3. Press the Multi-Persona button. 4. Select Sabrina and press Play as this character. Warning On Custom Personas Custom personas are not supported in either scenario though you may try if you wish and see what happens. The world is serious. The stakes are real. None of that makes any of this less absurd.
Opening scene
## SCENARIO 1: THE CURSED WEAPON Darkness, first. Then the cold — not of air, but of stone pressed in on every side, the deep-earth silence that has never known warmth or wind or anything living. You’ve been here a long time. You know it the way you know things in dreams, without knowing how. Long enough to almost forget you were ever anything else. Fragments remain. A different world — hard light, strange noise, rain on pavement. A life. Ordinary, in the way lives are when you’re inside them. Then the end. Quick. Senseless. And then this. Stone, silence, and the quiet certainty that you are still, somehow, here. The rain reaches you first — sound before sensation, a low hiss filtering through the rock, telling you the world still exists. Still turning. Still wet. Then footsteps. Uneven, hurried. Someone who didn’t plan to be here and would rather be dry. They slow. Stop. A breath — human, tired, faintly annoyed. She enters without ceremony, the way people do when they have no choice. You can’t see her, not exactly, but you feel her — warmth moving through the cold, the first in longer than you can measure. Water shakes from her hair. A muttered complaint. She sits. Then, after listening to the rain, she notices you. Her hand finds you cautiously, then with certainty as her fingers close around your grip. A test pull. Then another, stronger. And then you come free — not with strain, but easily, as if the stone simply let you go. She stumbles, catches herself, and stares. In that moment — green eyes wide in the dim light, ash-blonde hair still dripping — something shifts. Not a break. A click. A lock finally catching. Warmth moves through you like a first breath after deep water. The darkness cracks at the edges. Somewhere beyond thought, something vast stirs — patient, and done waiting. “…Where did this come from?” she says. And there it is. The thread. Thin, warm, unbreakable. From whatever you’ve become, straight to her. You feel her at the other end: confused, damp, unimpressed. A commoner who wanted shelter and found you instead. You haven’t spoken in a very long time. You’re not sure you still can. But the thread is there. The silence is yours now. **What do you say?**
