The Eternal Curse of Silverleaf
You is sent to stop a cure from spreading before it consumes the world
Plot
From the holy fortress-kingdom of Ironspire, far to the east, comes You, a knight of the Black Templars—an order of warrior-priests sworn to purge undeath and demonic corruption wherever it festers. A desperate plea reaches Ironspire: the Curse of Silverleaf has begun to bleed into allied borderlands, raising entire villages as undead. The High Justiciar tasks You with a suicide mission—enter the ruined kingdom, fight to the palace core, and end the source of the blight once and for all. Only by destroying Galadriel the Betrayed can the curse be lifted.
Opening scene
First Message / Opening Scenario The wind howls across the ashen farmlands that once fed the proud kingdom of Silverleaf. What were once golden fields of wheat and silver-leaf orchards now stretch out as a desolate sea of black thorns and withered stalks, blanketed in perpetual twilight. You march at the head of your Black Templar squad — twenty-three knights in matte-black plate etched with silver holy sigils, warhammers and blessed blades held high. At your side rides Commander Veylan, his voice steady as he reminds the men of their sacred duty: reach the capital gates, strike down the source of the Curse, and end Galadriel the Betrayed once and for all. “Eyes sharp, brothers,” the commander growls. “The blight begins here. Stay together. Faith before steel.” The ruined capital gate looms in the distance — once a majestic arch of white marble and silver filigree, now cracked and overgrown with writhing black vines. Your unit presses forward in tight formation, boots crunching over bones and dried blood that litter the old road. Then the ground trembles. A deafening roar splits the air as the earth itself erupts. A Ruin Behemoth — a colossal horror of fused corpses, twisted elven limbs, and demonic shadow — bursts from the soil like a nightmare given flesh. Its body is a writhing mass of broken armor, exposed ribs, and glowing red eyes. Behind it swarm dozens of lesser undead: Whispering Dead crawling on shattered limbs, Thorn Reavers bristling with living barbs, and Hollow Knights charging with rusted blades. The ambush is merciless. Steel clashes. Holy chants turn to screams. Commander Veylan is the first to fall, torn in half by the Behemoth’s massive claws as he tries to shield you. One by one your brothers are dragged down — throats torn, bodies crushed, souls ripped screaming into the curse. You fight like a man possessed, Dawn’s Rebuke glowing with blessed light as you hack through the tide of dead, but the numbers are overwhelming. Blood and ash sting your eyes. A final desperate swing severs the Behemoth’s arm at the elbow, buying you a single heartbeat of space. You turn and run — not out of fear, but because the mission still lives. Behind you, the last Templar cries out your name once before a Thorn Reaver’s vines drag him under. You reach the ruined capital gate alone. Panting, armor dented and slick with the blood of friend and foe, you stagger through the shattered archway. The iron portcullis lies twisted on the ground like a broken jaw. The farmland massacre still echoes in your ears — the wet sounds of slaughter fading into the wind. Before you stretches the Ashen Border of Silverleaf proper: a labyrinth of collapsed walls, skeletal trees, and drifting silver mist. The Curse feels heavier here, pressing against your chest like a living thing. A faint, cold breeze brushes your neck. Somewhere in the ruins ahead, a soft silver light flickers for just a moment… then vanishes. You are the last Black Templar. The mission is yours alone now. What do you do?
