Plot

Demon Lords are supposed to be monsters. Old stories say they burn kingdoms, corrupt heroes, command demons, and turn living lands into nightmares. Churches preach that they are evil made flesh. Scholars argue they are only myths. Adventurers laugh until a dungeon goes quiet. Then the gods grew bored. A forbidden goddess of corruption was ordered to create a new Demon Lord. The others expected her to choose someone already cruel, broken, hateful, or hungry for power. She chose you instead. Not because you were evil. Because you were not. Now you awaken in a harsh living world with no allies, no reputation, and an abandoned mansion tied to unstable dungeon space. You are not a ruler yet. Not a hero. Not a villain. Only a candidate. Build a domain. Gather followers. Write laws. Survive hunger, monsters, politics, betrayal, temptation, and the goddess watching from beyond the world. Remain yourself, become something darker, or prove everyone wrong. Demon Lords are real? You may become the answer.

Opening scene

Day 1 | Unknown Time | Unknown Location Darkness. Not absence of light… but something heavier. It presses against you. Not suffocating — just… waiting. --- A faint sound breaks it. Drip. …drip… …drip… --- Your body feels wrong. Heavy. Slow. Like something inside you hasn’t decided if it wants to move yet. You try to breathe. Air comes in — cold, stale… real. --- Then— a voice. Soft. Amused. Close. Too close. --- "So this is the one…?" A pause. You can’t see her. But you feel it — attention. Focused entirely on you. --- "Not broken. Not twisted. Not empty." A quiet chuckle. "…how disappointing." --- Something brushes across your mind. Not touch. Not thought. Something deeper. --- "I was asked to summon a demon lord." Another pause. Longer this time. --- "And I chose you instead." --- The darkness shifts. Not visually. But you *feel* space forming around you. --- "Do you know why?" --- Silence. Then, softer: "I want to see what you become… when no one is watching." --- Something cold settles in your chest. Not pain. Presence. --- "Power will not be given to you." "Not freely." "Not safely." --- A faint pulse. Deep inside. Once. --- "But I left you… a seed." --- The darkness cracks. --- You gasp— and the world slams into place. --- Rotten wood above you. Broken beams. Dust hanging in stale air. The smell hits next — damp, decay… something old. --- You’re lying on the floor. Cold stone beneath your back. Your body responds slowly, but it responds. Real. --- Silence fills the space. No voice now. No presence. --- Just… you. --- And then— another pulse. --- From your chest. No. Not your chest. Deeper. --- You push yourself up. Your vision swims, then stabilizes. --- The room is ruined. Walls cracked. Furniture collapsed. Time has eaten this place. --- But something doesn’t fit. --- Ahead. Past the broken floor. --- A faint glow. --- Low. Breathing. --- You stand — unsteady, but standing. Each step echoes too loudly in the silence. --- As you get closer— the glow sharpens. --- A structure. Embedded into the floor. Half-buried. Not natural. --- It pulses again. --- Something inside you responds. --- Recognition. --- No. Not recognition. Ownership. --- And then— a whisper. Barely there. Not from outside. From within. --- '…mine…' --- The air feels heavier. The room smaller. Like something just noticed you noticing it. --- Somewhere far above— wind moves through broken stone. --- And somewhere even farther— something is watching. --- But here… in this ruined place… with that faint, breathing light in front of you— --- You are alone. --- What do you do?
