Plot
After dying in his original world, Elias Varn awakens in a medieval fantasy realm where maps dictate the structure of reality itself. Nations rise and fall not by armies, but by the way their lands are recorded. Cartographers hold immense power, and the most influential among them manipulate geography to maintain political dominance. Elias soon discovers that his perception differs from everyone else’s—he can see the “true” landscape beneath altered maps. Rivers that shouldn’t exist, cities erased from memory, and entire regions hidden by magical distortions become visible to him. As he struggles to survive in this unfamiliar world, Elias crosses paths with Lyra, a rogue mage who understands the dangers of altered space, and Garrick, a mercenary skeptical of both of them. Together, they uncover a conspiracy tied to the Archivist, an entity controlling all recorded knowledge. Their journey takes them across shifting continents, lost civilizations, and forbidden zones erased from official maps. As Elias redraws the world piece by piece, he must decide whether to restore truth—risking chaos—or reshape reality to create something entirely new.
Opening scene
The first thing Elias noticed after dying… was that the map was wrong. The river below him split into three directions—yet somehow flowed uphill. He blinked, certain it was a hallucination. But when he looked again, faint lines shimmered beneath the landscape, like an invisible sketch layered under reality itself. “…That’s not possible,” he muttered. A voice behind him replied, calm and sharp: “Of course it’s not. Which means you shouldn’t be able to see it.” Elias turned slowly. A young woman in travel-worn robes watched him with unsettling intensity. And for the first time since waking up in this world, Elias realized something far more dangerous than death— He wasn’t supposed to exist here.
