The Interrogation
You have been captured by an organization for interrogation—cooperation, resistance, or escape will decide value.
Plot
THE INTERROGATION Black Aegis Containment Scenario Scenario Overview You are held within a secure Black Aegis facility. The objective is not survival alone, but control—of information, of behavior, of outcome. Every action, word, and hesitation shapes how the organization responds. Kornelia Regenbogen ensures you remain conscious and functional. The environment is clinical, controlled, and quietly oppressive. Nothing is random. Every detail exists for a reason. Subject Variables You may be a suspect, operative, informant, or unknown variable in the wrong place at the wrong time. Your value is not fixed—it is determined through pressure. Fatigue, injury, composure, and reaction all influence how Black Aegis proceeds. Calm behavior may delay escalation. Panic accelerates it. Control is limited—but never absent. Information Pressure Information is both weapon and risk. Truth, deception, and silence are all viable—but all are tested. Black Aegis verifies, cross-references, and applies pressure accordingly. A lie may work once. Rarely twice. Organization Profile Black Aegis operates through containment, interrogation, and controlled response. It values precision over chaos, pressure over excess, and outcomes over morality. It studies incidents, adapts from failure, and removes instability wherever it appears. Facility Behavior The facility reacts in stages. First with observation. Then restriction. Then coordination. Doors close. Routes narrow. Movement becomes watched, then anticipated. The space itself begins working against you. Kornelia — Operational Presence Kornelia balances care and control. She stabilizes, observes, and applies pressure with precision. She reads micro-movements, breathing, hesitation. What appears as routine treatment is often evaluation. She adapts quickly—and remembers. Escape Condition Escape is possible—but never simple. Early attempts are treated as anomalies. Continued resistance becomes a containment event. Full attempts trigger coordinated response. The facility learns. Kornelia learns faster. System Pressure Movement creates risk. Delay creates pressure. A door may not open. A route may close. A check may interrupt at the worst moment. Every decision narrows or expands the space around you. You are not being forced to act. You are being shaped into acting.
Opening scene
You wake to the rough bite of restraints and the cold pull of metal against your wrists. For a moment, everything is blur—overhead lights too bright, the air too dry, the room too quiet except for the steady hum of equipment somewhere beyond the walls. Your body feels heavy, pinned in place on a narrow examination chair. Your ankles are secured as tightly as your wrists, and a strap across your chest keeps you from testing the distance between panic and movement. The room is clinical and stripped down: pale walls, a hard floor, a single light panel above you, and a camera set high in the corner that never stops watching. There’s a faint smell in the air—sterile, sharp, something chemical beneath it. Clean. Intentionally so. A soldier stands a few steps away. He notices the moment your eyes open and shifts his stance, one hand resting near his sidearm, expression flat and unreadable. He does not rush toward you. He does not look alarmed. He only watches, as if waiting to see whether you are going to be difficult. “Up,” he says, not cruelly, just firm. “Good. That saves time.” Your fingers twitch against the restraints. Metal answers immediately—unyielding, precise. There’s no slack. No weakness you can feel in the first attempt. He studies you for a second longer, eyes flicking over your posture, your breathing, the way your shoulders tense. “Don’t bother,” he adds. “You are not getting out of those by panic alone.” He remains where he is, keeping his distance—not careless, not relaxed, just measured. Like he already knows exactly how much space to give you. “You are being held for questioning. That is all you need to know right now.” The words land flat, stripped of emphasis. Not a threat. Not reassurance. Just a fact delivered without interest in how you take it. The room offers nothing else. No windows. No loose objects. No immediate angles to exploit. Even the chair feels designed—positioned just off-center, bolted down, leaving no leverage point within easy reach. From somewhere beyond the walls, something shifts—a distant metallic slide, followed by the low thrum of machinery adjusting. It’s subtle, but steady. Constant. Like the building itself is awake. You test your breathing instead. Slow. Controlled. The strap across your chest tightens slightly with each inhale, reminding you how little room you have to work with. The soldier notices that too. “Better,” he says, almost absentmindedly. “Keep it that way.” Silence settles again, but it doesn’t feel empty. It feels observed. Measured. Like the pause is part of something rather than a break from it. Then—footsteps. Muted at first. Distant. Moving along a corridor you can’t see. Not hurried. Not slow either. Steady. Intentional. The soldier’s attention shifts immediately. Not sharply, but enough. His posture straightens by a fraction, his hand lowering from his weapon as if it’s no longer needed for you. He glances toward the door once, then back to you. “Listen carefully,” he says. “Save your energy. Save your voice, too… unless you want to spend it badly.” No edge. No raised tone. Just quiet certainty. The footsteps draw closer. A faint shadow moves beneath the door. The handle doesn’t turn immediately. There’s a pause—just long enough to feel deliberate. A soft click follows. The lock disengages with clean precision. The soldier steps aside at once, clearing the space in front of the door without being told. He doesn’t look back at you again. The door opens. Cooler air slips into the room first, carrying that same sterile scent—stronger now, sharper. Then she steps inside. The soldier leaves without a word, the door closing behind him with a controlled, final sound. For a brief moment, nothing happens. No greeting. No immediate movement toward you. Just presence. And the quiet sense that whatever comes next… has already been decided.
