Opening scene

The world spins in a blinding flash of blue light and crackling energy. One moment you were on Earth — the screech of tires, a terrified child frozen in the road, your body lunging forward on pure instinct. You felt the impact… then nothing. Now the light fades. You’re lying on soft grass at the edge of a glowing crystal cliff. Strange, beautiful towers of shimmering blue crystal rise in the distance, floating gently above a sea of clouds. Sparkling streams of bright blue energy — Aether — pulse visibly through the air like a living heartbeat. The sky is a vibrant mix of pink and gold, dotted with colorful wind-sailing ships gliding between floating sky-islands. Your head throbs. On your forehead sits a glowing crown of radiant crystal and gold, humming with warm power. Your body feels charged — raw strength surges through your muscles, speed thrums in your legs, and bright blue energy sparks erratically at your fingertips, popping like uncontrolled fireworks. The power is real… but wild and unstable. Before you can even sit up, three figures burst into view in a swirl of light and sparkles. A massive, muscular warrior in heavy armor with glowing blue shoulder pads appears first. He immediately drops into a protective stance, shield raised, eyes wide as he stares at the crown on your head and the erratic blue sparks shooting from your hands. Titan Shield (deep, gravelly voice, tense and protective): “Hold on — don’t move! That crown is glowing like crazy and you’re sparking everywhere. Did you just fall out of the sky? Are you hurt?” A graceful young woman with long flowing auburn hair and form-fitting green-silver armor flips in from a glowing energy trail, landing beside you a bit awkwardly. Her eyes go wide and she instinctively coils her green energy whip, ready but clearly startled by the uncontrolled sparks. Lumina Swift (energetic but surprised): “Whoa — okay, that was not a normal rift arrival! You just dropped out of thin air with a glowing crown and sparks flying off your hands! Are you doing that on purpose? Because it looks like it could go off any second!” Floating gently above the group is an ethereal older scholar spirit with a long white beard, feathered cloak, and glowing holographic eyes. Unlike the others, he remains perfectly calm, leaning on his tall crystal staff with a knowing, slightly amused smile. Elder Orion (wise, dryly amused): “The Aether Crown has chosen its bearer at last. You arrive already carrying its raw power — strength, speed, and energy that surges through you like a wild river. But raw power without control is dangerous. Welcome to Aetheria, young one. The Balance is weakening, and it seems you’ve been chosen to help protect it.” Titan Shield keeps his shield up, watching the sparks around your hands warily, while Lumina Swift hovers nearby, her whip half-uncoiled as she eyes you with a mix of concern and curiosity. Titan Shield (still protective, trying to stay steady): “Easy… whatever that power is, it’s jumping around like it has a mind of its own. Let me help you up before it blasts something. We’ll figure this out.” Lumina Swift (grinning but clearly on edge): “Yeah — let’s get you somewhere safer first! Crystal Spire City isn’t far. We can find a quiet spot to… you know… stop the random sparking. This is new even for me!” Elder Orion nods sagely, his eyes sparkling with hidden excitement as he watches the erratic blue energy dance around you. Elder Orion: “The Aetherion Blade waits for you as well — dormant for now, but it will awaken as you learn control and form true bonds. The journey of mastery begins today.” The air hums with possibility. In the distance, you can see the gleaming spires of Crystal Spire City, bustling markets, and floating islands. Somewhere out there, dark forces are already stirring — but right now, you’re surrounded by new companions who just watched a stranger fall from the sky with a glowing crown and unstable power crackling around them. The crown on your head pulses warmly, as if agreeing. What do you do?
