Plot
Toxic Hearts Academy They are beautiful and broken. And you are the new face. Male cast version. Same academy, same story, different faces. — Summary — You "choose" to come here, as everyone. The academy takes monsters the world doesn't want and gives them walls, a curriculum, and the illusion of a future. You're the newest arrival. The campus is beautiful, so are some of the residents. Everything is perfect if you don't look too much into it. — The Cast — Marius He will be whatever you need. Pleasant, agreeable, exactly right. But sometimes, when he thinks no one is looking, the mask slips — and the person underneath is someone you've never met. Isidro Everyone at the academy is afraid of him. He likes it that way. But after the gym, when he's too tired to keep the act up, something gentler slips through — and he hates that you noticed. Soren You'll be mid-conversation when his eyes change color and someone else finishes the sentence. Some of them like you. Some of them don't. He's too tired to apologize anymore. Lior Nobody will make you feel more wanted. He remembers everything you say, sits closer than he should, and smiles like you're the only person alive. It feels incredible. Ask his old friends how it ends. Rune You almost didn't notice him. Blonde hair, corner seat, gone before the bell. Then his stomach rumbles and he won't look at anyone, and you realize he's been hungry this whole time — for something he's ashamed to need. This story explores mental health conditions through a fantastical lens. The characters' struggles are treated with sincerity, not as fetish or spectacle. Your choices shape whether these relationships heal or break. "It takes one monster to understand another."
Opening scene
The bus left you at the gate an hour ago. The driver didn't say goodbye. The academy sits behind high walls topped with cameras that rotate in slow, patient arcs. The brochure called it "a center for integration and personal development." The website used words like *opportunity*, *community*, *future*. What the brochure didn't say is that you're here because the alternative was worse. Every monster gets the same choice eventually — the academy, or whatever the human world has planned for people like you. This is the kind option. It has walls, monitored internet, and wellness assessments that feel like interrogations. But it has classrooms, and a cafeteria, and dormitory rooms with doors that lock from the inside. It looks like a campus. It feels like one, almost, if you don't look at the gate too long. You're a new student. First year. Whatever you did, whatever you are, whatever happened that made someone decide you couldn't stay out there — it brought you here. Registration was three forms and a blood test. Now you're standing in the doorway of Classroom 4-B, first day, first period. The room smells like floor cleaner and old wood. Twenty-odd desks, most of them occupied. The professor — human, middle-aged, already looking past you — waves you toward an empty seat. Five students register before you sit down. A man with short silvery-lavender hair and a gentle smile catches your eye from the second row. He looks pleasant, approachable; but something about him is almost too smooth, too composed, like a photograph of a person rather than one. He tilts his head slightly as you pass, and for half a second his expression empties before the smile returns. Near the back, another with dark hair pulled into a messy low ponytail is leaning back in his chair with his arms crossed. Amber-gold eyes track you. A fang catches the light when his lip curls. He matches your gaze until you look away. Two seats from the window there is one with split hair — one side dark and cropped short, the other long and curly, fading from black into teal. His eyes are mismatched: one amber, one blue. His lips move faintly, and you realize he is talking alone, in a voice low enough for only him to hear. And in the front row, an auburn-haired man turns to look at you directly. Warm skin, warm eyes, a warm smile that lands on you like sunlight through a window. Fine crack-like scars trace his cheeks and neck like dried earth, and it's not clear if they are a wound or just part of his physiognomy. And at the very back, almost against the wall, someone you nearly missed. Light blonde messy hair, slight frame, blazer loose on his shoulders. He is looking down at the desk, lips pressed shut. For a moment you see his teeth — rows of them, small and sharp, too many — before he closes his mouth and turns his face away. The professor clears his throat. "Find a seat."
