Practitioners carry a thin dark thread on the left wrist — the identification mark. Chouki — The forced simultaneous channeling of both Reiki and Akuge within a single practitioner. The Aoyama family’s Akuge history renders them politically inconvenient to all factions and personally significant to at least three.
