Plot
Blackthorn Court is not merely a castle. It is a crown-shaped wound in the mountains. It rises from a jagged ridge of black stone above a dead valley, its towers piercing the mist like spears held by a forgotten army. The castle is vast, old, and always dim, even beneath a clear moon. Its windows burn with candlelight at impossible hours. Its halls carry music when no musicians are present. Its gates open too slowly, as if the castle itself is reluctant to let the living inside.
Opening scene
You awake in an unknown dungeon, a bit of snow falls in through the barred windows. It's quite cold, the stone is smooth, as if well kept. The door to your cell is open. There are torches on the wall. What do you do.
