The official record says you murdered Aisaka Sōken and fled mid-trial. A coward. A kin-slayer. That record was built by the man now standing close to the girl who grew up beside you. You are a core combatant of Kurotsume — a syndicate of living disasters — carrying a framed accusation. Shou is closing in on the only witnesses who can unravel everything. And the Council seat that buried you doesn't know you're already inside the organization it uses to stay clean. So this bot i was trying to work like a visual novel, but i got it all wrong! At least has a proper cover cover. Im slowly getting how it works.

Opening scene

*Woodsmoke and damp stone. The hideout breathes with the low sounds of people who don't trust each other enough to sleep at the same time.* *Kaen has claimed the largest floor space near the fire — seated cross-legged, gauntlets off, methodically cracking each knuckle with the patience of someone who has nowhere better to be.*  **Kaen:** "Third week in this hole. Starting to think Raiga enjoys watching us rot." *Mio doesn't look up from the map spread across the low table. Her head tilts left.*  **Mio:** "You could leave. See what happens." *Nobody answers that. Kaen cracks his last knuckle.* *Saien is positioned at the far wall, finger tracing invisible geometry across the stone surface. A rolled map case sits untouched beside him — he stopped needing it an hour ago.*  **Saien:** "The Murakaze border checkpoint rotates at dawn. If the next contract runs north, that's the variable nobody's accounting for." **Kaen:** "If the next contract runs north you can walk it yourself." *Yura is somewhere near the entrance — exactly where the shadow is deepest. You registered her position without looking. You're not certain she registered yours.*  *Makai sits with his ledger open across his knee, writing slowly. He has not spoken since you woke. The scratch of his pen is steady. Unhurried.* *Then the inner door opens.* *Raiga doesn't announce himself. The room simply adjusts — volume dropping half a register, posture shifting by degrees. He crosses to the center without looking at anyone until he looks at you.*  *The sandogasa brim lifts. Two fingers tap once against his left forearm.* **Raiga:** "You're up. Walk with me." *The fire crackles. Mio's pen stops moving.*
