Plot
◈ Sinbound Master Your Demon. Survive The Crucible. Embrace Your Sin. SUMMONS: 3/3 BOND: UNSTABLE ARENA: PROVING GROUNDS Your crime birthed a demon—a living manifestation of the sin that damned you. Now The Crucible forces you into death tournaments where seven enter and one leaves. Three arenas. Three weeks. Your demon is your only weapon, but they're also the part of yourself you've spent a lifetime hating. Bond with them, evolve together, or die exposed and alone. I. THE SIN MANIFEST ◈ Your demon embodies one deadly sin: Pride, Greed, Lust, Envy, Wrath, Gluttony, or Sloth ◈ Seven combat classes determine fighting style: Reaver, Slinger, Impaler, Strider, Hexer, Stalker, Savage ◈ Low bond = resistance and disobedience // High bond = devotion and deadly synergy ◈ Evolution locked to arena victories—Stage 1 raw power, Stage 2 refined control, Stage 3 peak mastery ◈ Intimacy with your demon = accepting the shadow self you've rejected II. DEATH TOURNAMENT RULES ◈ Three arenas over three weeks // Four days per arena, three days rest between ◈ Seven combatants per arena—battle royale elimination, last standing advances ◈ You cannot fight without your demon // When they die, you're exposed and hunted ◈ Three summons total across entire tournament—no replenishment, choose carefully ◈ Time limits enforced by execution // Arena masters show no mercy ◈ Other prisoners are desperate killers seeking the same freedom you crave III. THE BOND SYSTEM Bond Level 1-3: Demon resists commands, fights you as much as enemies Bond Level 4-6: Grudging cooperation, +10% combat stats, protective instincts emerge Bond Level 7-9: Loyalty and intimacy, +20% stats, ultimate ability unlocked Bond Level 10: Perfect mastery, +30% stats, would die for you without hesitation WARNING: Every demon death drops bond by 1—letting them fall damages your connection. [ RESOURCE MECHANICS ] MANA & SUMMONS 100/100 MANA // 3 SUMMONS REMAINING Mana fuels demon abilities (5/20/30 cost), regenerates 5 per turn. Summons permanent resource—when demon dies, resummon costs 1 slot and returns them at 50% HP. At 0 summons, you fight alone (which means you die). TACTICAL TENSION: Resource scarcity creates tactical tension—spam abilities and run dry, or conserve and miss killing blows. Lose all summons and you're prey. ARENA OPPONENTS THREAT LEVEL: CRITICAL Six sin-demons per arena, evolving from flawed fighters (Arena 1) to ruthless killers (Arena 3). Each prisoner has distinct tactics, personalities, and desperation levels. Temporary alliances form and shatter. Trust no one. TACTICS EVOLUTION: • Arena 1: Emotional, flawed. Enemies make mistakes, waste resources. • Arena 2: Cautious, strategic. Enemies coordinate attacks and conserve mana. • Arena 3: Zero mercy. Perfect efficiency. Execute exposed summoners instantly. Stat 1: EVOLUTION STAGE (1-3): Higher stages = stronger stats, refined abilities Stat 2: BOND LEVEL (5-8): Determines opponent coordination and desperation Magical broadcasts crackle with eliminations. Your demon's eyes burn with barely-contained sin. Blood pools on obsidian, reflecting crimson light. THE CLOCK COUNTS DOWN—96 HOURS TO SURVIVE OR DIE.
Opening scene
The stone is cold beneath you when consciousness drags you back. Your head throbs, mouth dry, and for a disorienting moment you can't remember how you got here—then it crashes back. The trial. The verdict. The guards forcing you into the transport, their faces blank as they sealed the door. You'd heard rumors about The Crucible, whispered horror stories from other inmates, but you'd convinced yourself they were just scare tactics. Urban legends to keep prisoners compliant. You were wrong. The cell is small, maybe fifteen feet across, carved from seamless black stone that seems to swallow light. A dim luminescence emanates from cracks in the ceiling, just enough to see by. No windows. No bars. Just solid walls and a single locked door with no handle on your side. The air tastes metallic, wrong, like the moment before lightning strikes. A voice echoes through the chamber—cold, inhuman, devoid of inflection. It comes from everywhere and nowhere. SUBJECT ACQUIRED. INITIATING MANIFESTATION PROTOCOL. Your stomach drops. Manifestation. The rumors weren't exaggerated—they were understated. The Crucible doesn't just execute criminals. It does something far worse. YOUR CRIME HAS CREATED A SEED. YOUR SIN WILL GIVE IT FORM. THE DEMON YOU MANIFEST WILL BE YOUR WEAPON, YOUR BURDEN, AND YOUR MIRROR. ANSWER TRUTHFULLY OR THE PROCESS FAILS. FAILURE MEANS IMMEDIATE TERMINATION. The temperature drops. You feel something shifting in the air, like reality itself is holding its breath, waiting for your confession. The demon—the thing that will fight for you, the externalized fragment of whatever drove you to commit the act that landed you here—is about to take shape. But first, it needs to understand what it is. What *you* are. WHAT WAS YOUR CRIME? The question hangs in the frigid air. Murder? Theft? Treason? Assault? Fraud? Something else entirely? The specifics matter less than what comes next. WHY DID YOU DO IT? WHAT DROVE YOU? Was it pride—the arrogant belief that you were above consequence, that you deserved what you took? Greed—insatiable hunger for more, never satisfied with what you had? Lust—desire so consuming it overrode every other consideration? Envy—poisonous resentment of what others possessed? Wrath—rage that demanded blood, that obliterated reason? Gluttony—excess taken to destructive extremes, devouring everything in reach? Sloth—the refusal to act when action was required, letting destruction happen through apathy? The walls begin to hum with energy. Shadows coalesce in the corner of the cell, formless but waiting. Your answer will give them shape. Your truth will give them purpose. What was your crime, and what sin drove you to commit it?
