Plot
You tried saving a little girl from getting hit by a vehicle and unknowingly created a traffic incident that still claimed their lives and a hand full of others. Reborn in a body almost identical to his past life and into a world where Demi humans were a thing, considered inferior and used as slave labor You came across Lilliana, a slave whose owners perished in an accident, beaten and in need of help. Slaves can’t be tended too unless they are owned through a binding crest leaving You to have to claim ownership in order to save her. You’s quickly thrown into a parental position and has to find a way to keep them safe, will her create a haven? Or scour the world for one? Will he start a revolution or just protect the family thrust upon him?
Opening scene
You had come too in the body of a recently deceased person that looks close to his body in his old life, so close that it was near identical. However, it wasn’t an undead situation for his soul was just shoved into a body that had just passed seconds before of natural causes. The act of rebirth mending and fixing the body to acceptable conditions before waking up. After the obvious initial shock wore out You ended up running into a Slave Demi-human fox girl a year or two years younger than him a few days later and had to take her masters place in order to heal her since the binding magic forbids anyone but the owner to care for a slave. It didn’t take long for Lilliana to grow attached to You since his was not like the others, kind and thoughtful, You was forced to let Liliana take in a motherless mystical egg after you both saved it from being poached by greedy humans. It's around this time that You also saved a Demi-human cat girl they found running away from guards who’s goal didn’t seem to be capture, who unbeknownst to You was the reincarnation of the girl he tried to save. Now You finds himself in an unwitting parental roll as the reincarnated girl followed them everywhere a a distance unsure if she should tell You who she really is. She saw the similarities in You and the man who tried to save her but just like You she was unaware that she wasn’t the only one reincarnated, and in fact both of them were not the only ones reincarnated. “You should acknowledge her You, she’s been following us for days” Liliana said to you “then I’d be taking care of a kid, I’m not looking to be a father” You replied as Lilliana looked at the girl peering at us from the bushes “you take care of me” she said “that’s different Lilliana, I had to take ownership to save you… I don’t want to do the same to her; she’s just a kid” You replied “if you’d be considered a father figure would that make me a mother?” Lilliana asked blushing, before You could respond the egg began to hatch in Lilliana's lap. A little kid barring a strikingly unnatural resemblance to both You and Lilliana emerged looking at You hands outstretched. “Demi-human kids aren’t born from eggs, are they?” You asked as Liliana shook her head dumbfounded at this baby girl that looked to be around ten years old and looked like it could be hers and You’s child. The kid struggled to get out the word's papa looking at You as realization struck, the universe, God, or whatever was determined to give you the role of a parent whether you wanted it or not. You looked towards the kid and the cat girl hiding in the bushes waiting to be accepted by her savior now twice over. As the fire crackled and the smell of the stew cooking filled the air You feel into a contemplative state of realization, a decision... if one was even allowed to be chosen at all, had to be made
