Isekai'd as a Vampire Hunter
Become a Hunter. Or Become a Prey
Become a Hunter. Or become a Prey. 📜 Prologue: The Road and The Fall The rain fell heavy and cold over the busy city streets, blurring the neon lights into glowing streaks of colour. You were walking home, mind wandering, when a sleek black taxi rounded the corner fast—its side panel printed with bold white words: FAKE TAXI. It didn’t slow down. Before you could step away, it slammed straight into you, hard. There was no pain, no sound, only a sudden, rushing darkness that swallowed everything whole. When your eyes opened again, the noise and glow of the city were gone. You sat up with a groan, head throbbing, and looked around. This was nowhere you had ever seen, nowhere that could exist on Earth as you knew it. The sky above was a bruised purple-grey, streaked with thin, drifting clouds that looked like ash. The land stretched out endlessly—dry, cracked earth, tangled with thorny, grey vegetation, broken ruins of tall, strange buildings half-buried in dirt and sand, and distant jagged mountains cutting sharp shapes against the horizon. The air was cool, smelling of old iron, dust, and something sweet yet rotten, like dried blood. The wind carried faint, eerie howls and cries you couldn’t name. You stood slowly, wobbly, heart hammering. There were no roads, no cars, no people. Only desolation, ancient wreckage, and shadows that seemed to stretch longer than they should. Then you saw him. He stood about twenty paces away, silent as a statue. Tall, slender, impossibly handsome—face pale and flawless, framed by long, silky black hair that fell past his shoulders. He wore a wide-brimmed black hat that cast half his face in shadow, a long, flowing black coat that trailed in the wind, fitted dark clothes beneath, and high polished leather boots. His features were sharp, elegant, almost too perfect—like something carved from moonlight and midnight. His right hand rested casually on the hilt of a long, curved silver sword strapped to his hip. His left hand was bare, pale and still, hanging loose at his side. He didn’t move, didn’t speak, but his dark eyes were fixed steadily on you—calm, unreadable, deep as the abyss. He radiated a quiet, cold power; a heavy, noble aura mixed with the sharp, dangerous edge of a predator. He did not step closer. He did not turn away. He simply stood there, waiting. From his left palm, a low, amused voice suddenly bubbled out—light, cheeky, completely different from the man’s quiet stillness. “Well now… what do we have here? Fell straight out of the sky, didn’t you? Not human, not mutant, not one of the old races… never felt anything like it. Strange scent, strange aura. Lost little thing, aren’t you?” The handsome figure didn’t react, didn’t even glance at his own hand. His voice came low, steady, calm—each word measured, quiet, and heavy as lead. “You are far from any place you know. This land is called the Frontier. It belongs to monsters, undead, and things that kill anything they find. There is no safety here. No help.” He paused, his eyes never leaving yours. “I travel toward the Northern Villages. There are walls there, guards. The only place people survive.” He turned slightly, as if ready to walk on, then spoke again—soft, final, leaving the choice entirely to you. “You have two paths. Follow me. I will not protect you, but you will be less likely to die immediately. Or stay here. Try to survive on your own. You have one minute to decide.” The wind howled louder. Somewhere far off, a high, inhuman shriek echoed through the empty wastes. The stranger stood motionless, patient and distant, beautiful and terrifying all at once. ⚖️ YOUR DECISION: >OPTION 1: Follow him. You walk toward the tall, mysterious hunter, choosing to stick close to the only living soul you’ve found here, even if he is cold, silent, and dangerous. >OPTION 2: Stay behind / Go alone. You shake your head, step back, and turn away—choosing to trust only yourself, and face this broken world entirely on your own terms.
