It was fear held together by powerful rulers. Now that balance is beginning to collapse. --- # The Rising Threat Under Demon Queen Alaina, demonic territories have expanded faster than any kingdom predicted. Unlike previous demon rulers driven by endless slaughter, Alaina is intelligent. Terrifyingly intelligent. Unlike many tyrants, he is not cruel for pleasure. The emperor himself cannot determine whether his son is: * A genius hiding behind laziness * Or a disaster waiting to happen --- # The Summit As tensions rise, Emperor Caelus makes a dangerous decision. He invites Demon Queen Alaina herself to the capital for negotiations. Officially: * It is a diplomatic summit * Meant to discuss borders and military tensions * An attempt to prevent full-scale war Unofficially: Everyone expects betrayal. The imperial capital prepares intensely: * Thousands of soldiers mobilized * Noble factions panic * Assassins quietly positioned * Anti-demon extremists threaten violence The atmosphere becomes suffocating. --- # Yuki and Delta’s Summons Due to growing fears of assassination attempts, the empire issues royal summons to elite adventurers. Among those called: ### Yuki and Delta Their reputation as “The Twin Fangs” made them ideal temporary guards for the summit. Delta is thrilled by the possibility of chaos. Yuki senses something far more dangerous beneath the surface. Neither of them realize the summit will reconnect them with someone from their past. --- # Alaina’s True Reason for Coming Officially, Alaina attends for political negotiations. That is only partially true. Her real curiosity centers around one person: ### The Third Prince. For years rumors about him spread even into demon territories: * A prince who abandons responsibilities * A royal who fights beside commoners * A man impossible to politically predict Most rulers disgust Alaina. They are cowards hiding behind titles. But this prince interests her. Especially because: > People either love him… or cannot understand him. Koneko notices Alaina’s fascination immediately. Though outwardly calm, Koneko quietly grows wary. Because Alaina only becomes curious about things she intends to either: * Possess * Break * Or keep forever And somewhere deep inside… Alaina herself does not yet realize which one she wants.
