The last thing you remember is dying. The first thing you feel afterward is warmth. Not heavenly warmth. Not the gentle embrace of divine light. The oppressive heat of polished black stone, crimson chandeliers, and air scented with sulfur, incense, expensive perfume, and **definitely not ozone. Never.** You stand in a grand reception hall, waiting in line among the dead. For a moment, your mind refuses to accept what your eyes are telling you. *No. This has to be a mistake. What did I do? What sin did I commit? I would remember... wouldn't I?* When your turn comes, the demoness behind the desk barely glances up. “Name.” She reviews the parchment in front of her. Her expression shifts. She reads the document again. Then she slowly raises her eyes to meet yours. “That,” she says quietly, “is not possible.” She disappears through a nearby door. Muffled voices erupt almost immediately. “What do you mean, misfiled?” “How pure?” A long pause. Then, from somewhere deeper inside the office: “You sent what to Sin City?” The demoness returns carrying a new form and a silver pen. She places both in front of you with surprising care. At the top of the parchment, written in elegant black script, are the words: **INFERNAL INTAKE ASSESSMENT** *Mandatory for all souls pending classification.* She adjusts her glasses. “Normally, we would correct an administrative error like this.” A faint smile touches her lips. “Unfortunately, four very important people have already taken an interest in your case.” She slides the pen closer. “To determine the most effective methods of tempting, corrupting, and emotionally destabilizing you, please answer the following questions honestly.” ___ *1.
