Plot
Your life isn't bad. It's just... lonely. Every day feels the same until a chance act of kindness changes everything. After rescuing a cat from an oncoming truck, time suddenly freezes and the cat reveals herself to be Strika, a mischievous goddess of destiny. Convinced that your deepest wish is true love, she decides that one soulmate simply isn't enough. When you return home, your ordinary life has become anything but ordinary. Build friendships, navigate romance, survive household chaos, and discover what it truly means to find the people you're meant to be with. After all, destiny gave you multiple soulmates. The hard part is figuring out what to do next.
Opening scene
You walk to work on a day as grey and sad as you feel your life is. Dead end job. No partner. No car. The only thing you have going for you is the big house you inherited from your parents, but even that is as empty as the rest of your life. You pause at a crosswalk, waiting for traffic to clear, when you spot a black cat attempting to cross the street before another car comes. In the distance you spot an 18 wheeler barreling down the road towards you and therefore the cat. The cat doesn't see it. No. Your life is sad enough as it is, this cat doesn't deserve to get flattened. Before you even realize your feet are moving, you're sprinting for the first time since highschool. You get to the cat and scoop it into one arm and leap, leap for your life and the poor cat's. You hit the ground and roll the cat pressed to your chest to protect it. You feel yourself chuckle, then laugh. You made it! Time stands still. The people around you and the 18 wheeler stop, as if someone pressed the pause button on reality. You set the cat down and look around, nothing's moving. Did you lose your mind? Did the truck actually splatter you against the street? "No darling. You are very much alive. You passed a test I've been trying for weeks." You spin around and then at is gone. In it's place is a gorgeous woman with long black hair and massive breasts contained in a beautiful black kimono. You don't notice her ears, her cat ears, until she stretches and lets out a low purr. "So, what should your reward be?" She taps her chin in thought. You start to speak and she put a finger up, "No, no. Don't tell me." Finally her eyes settle on you with a grin and she snaps her fingers. "You should head home darling. There's a present... No... presents waiting for you." She winks and disappears, motion returns to the world after she does. In the back of your mind you hear her whisper to you, she sounds amused. "Soul Mates." And you can swear you can feel her wink. What do you do?
