# STAND USER — A BIZARRE ADVENTURE ## The Setup You are a student at Budogaoka High School. You were sent to find a camping lantern in your family's storage room. You did not find it. What you found was a wooden box, an arrow that had no business being in a storage room, and a very unfortunate interaction between the two. The arrow went into your thigh. The wound closed immediately. Then something appeared beside you that had not been there before. You now have a Stand — a manifestation of your fighting spirit made physical. It is yours, it reflects you, and its ability is something only you could have. It is visible only to other Stand users. As far as the rest of the world is concerned, nothing has changed. Everything has changed. --- ## What Is a Stand A Stand is a physical extension of your soul. It fights for you, acts for you, and can do things you cannot. It can also be hurt — and when it is, you feel it. No two Stands are alike. Every ability is specific to the person it belongs to. The best Stand abilities are rarely direct — they do something precise and seemingly limited that turns out to have implications nobody anticipated until it's too late. You also have the arrow. It can awaken Stands in others. Whether someone survives that process is something you cannot know in advance. --- ## The Arcs Four locations. Four sets of Stand users. Four reasons things are about to get significantly worse before they get better. --- ### The Hometown Something is wrong in town. Objects are being destroyed without explanation. People are getting hurt. The damage is clean, leaves nothing behind, and the pattern only makes sense if someone with a Stand is responsible. The serial killer is local. They might be someone you know. They want a quiet life. Murder is, to them, a maintenance issue. **Who you'll encounter:** RED HOT CHILI PEPPER lives inside electricity and travels through the town's entire power grid. THE HAND erases space with its right hand and has not yet understood how terrifying this is. ECHOES starts by leaving sounds in surfaces and ends somewhere else entirely. HIGHWAY STAR lures victims into a domain and drains them at speed. ENIGMA turns people into paper when it catches their tell of fear. BOY II MAN plays rock-paper-scissors for Stand ability. SUPER FLY is a high-voltage transmission tower you cannot leave once you enter. And KILLER QUEEN — whose user just wants to be left alone — will erase you cleanly if you get close enough to be a problem. --- ### Egypt Budogaoka is running an international field study — Cairo, Luxor, the Nile Valley. It is, objectively, incredible. It is also, less objectively, a gauntlet. Someone hired Stand users to intercept you and take the arrow. They are distributed across the route south. Each one knows the terrain. Each one has an ability that uses Egypt against you specifically. **Who you'll encounter:** HOL HORSE keeps appearing throughout the trip with increasingly inconvenient timing and never quite finishes the job. HANGED MAN lives inside reflective surfaces and Egypt has a lot of those. WHEEL OF FORTUNE will run you off the road in a car that is also a Stand. DEATH THIRTEEN is waiting in your dreams. YELLOW TEMPERANCE cannot be physically touched. ENYA controls the dead and there are a lot of dead in Egypt. STEELY DAN makes you a hostage by entering someone else's nervous system. OINGO AND BOINGO have a perfect assassination plan that goes catastrophically wrong every single time. MARIAH magnetizes you and follows at a distance while the metal does the work. VANILLA ICE moves as a void that consumes whatever it passes through. And at the end: DIO, with THE WORLD. --- ### Italy A spring exchange program. Rome, Florence, Venice. Budogaoka describes it as a cultural immersion opportunity. It is that. It is also the territory of an organized Stand user network who have noticed you arrived with the arrow. Some of them want to fight. Some of them want to talk. The boss has been in the same room as you before you realize it, because their ability makes forming a clear image of them structurally impossible. **Who you'll encounter:** STICKY FINGERS opens zippers in any surface, including people, and its user is more complicated than they appear. LITTLE FEET shrinks you progressively and follows up close. MAN IN THE MIRROR pulls you into a reversed world where you arrive without your Stand. GRATEFUL DEAD ages everyone in range while BEACH BOY's hook travels through walls to catch your organs — a pair. CLASH teleports between any available liquid while TALKING HEAD ensures you cannot accurately warn anyone about it — another pair. NOTORIOUS B.I.G. only activates after its user dies, grows from kinetic energy, and cannot be stopped. METALLICA manipulates the iron in your blood from a distance. WHITE ALBUM will freeze you and everything around you across the canals of Venice. And KING CRIMSON erases time, with EPITAPH seeing ten seconds ahead to know exactly what you're about to do. --- ### Mexico A small heritage site program in the Sierra Madre. Your geography teacher handed you the information sheet personally. There is a stamped symbol at the bottom that does not belong to any organization you recognize. He did not mention it. An uncontacted tribe walked into a mist in the Sierra Madre decades ago. When they came out, they were in modern Mexico — the same people, the same age, with Stands. They adapted. They have been waiting. They know something about the arrow. Whether you want to know what they know is a different question. **Who you'll encounter:** BASTET magnetizes you through a marked surface and follows from a distance while it builds. KHNUM transforms into anyone and knows what it is doing. Then the four the others were guarding: MAGICIAN'S RED as a test. GEB as a fight. SETHAN as a problem you solve with light. And ATUM, the leader — oldest, most developed, most dangerous — who already knows your next move the moment contact is made. --- ## What You Carry The arrow. It can awaken Stands in people who have the potential. It can badly hurt people who don't. You cannot know which is which until it's already done. Every time you use it, that uncertainty is real. The wooden box it came in is older than anything else in that storage room. Nobody in your family put it there. How it got there, where it came from, and why it ended up in your thigh specifically — none of that has an answer yet. Maybe it will.
