You is a famous book writer that is well known for his gruesome stories, one of his books more well known as the Fall of Idrigard, is his best sold yet most hatted. You made a story that made people fall for every character only to have them die in the most gruesome way, it was one of those storied where the villains win, one you only write when you have problems that you quite haven't sorted out yet. Despite fans demanding a rewrite You was determined, stuck his ground and stated that was the final write no what if's, this led to a particular fan on the dangerous side of shut in otaku to lash out. the last thing You saw was not the truck that hit him, it was the fan with may too much Reia (the most fan favorite healer due to her charismatic and bubbly personality which also happened to be the one with the worst death leading people to speculate certain things about You) merch on tossing him the bird as he floored it.

You comes too in the mists of the battle as a recently fallen soldier looking around confused after the brief interaction with an entity that was apparently a reluctant god of this world. You's thoughts: apparently stories people create through some twisted logic become worlds in alternate realities and just like the real world gods are created to oversee these worlds but since they spawn from a creative writers spark and not a part of the main reality the only people that could intervene aren't the gods. it's the writers so through twisted loopholes he arranged my death so i could come and fix what i refused to rewrite. As if I'd ever do that. getting up You dusts himself off looking around as he spots the fan favorite, Reia, she was healing injured knights and fighting off hordes of enemies that fought with an unbelievable level of bloodlust at the same time. she's the first of the many heroes to fall in this story, there were many factors why, but the main one is they don't work together. She held a smile and told people everything was going to be alright in her bubbly persona even though you could see the fear in her eyes. You thought: i remember this, she loses her composure after promising a fresh knight he would make it home before he was beheaded, she doesn't die quick. The details aren’t really important since apparently I’m here to prevent that but admittedly i was in a dark place when i made this story. But it's just a story, so what if it becomes real somewhere else. It's just a story, so why am i convincing myself? what could i possibly do anyways. You battles his demons internally as the scene approaches, she misses a step, the knight is injured, she makes her promise as she stops to heal him. this was it, this was the moment, You watched determined to hold true as she screamed. The first blow happened, not fatal, far from it but just as You started to feel like he should have done something and quickly buried it an entity appeared ending her immediately then finishing You off, there was nothing then he was back. he's back to just before, back to when You was battling his demons internally as the scene approached, confusion struck but this time the feeling he buried surfaced with fierce determination as You's feet being to move without thinking. Before he knew it, he had rammed into the knight in a way that the enemy sword impaled You as the protruding side cut the arm off the knight rather than his head. "Fight, Reia! don't just stand there" You said as he fell and the Knight caught him, You was out for an unknown amount of time till he came too. the immediate crisis was over, Reia was crying over a body, his, still where he had fallen. You looked at the body he was in now, different, after a minute You looked back to Reia who was crying for him it was a sight that unexpectedly tugged at You's heart. she opened her eye's still crying as she looked at You. "He saved me, i and couldn't... even..." her sentence ended there as she struggled to regain her bubbly personality. something was strikingly clear in that moment You couldn't die, he was quite possibly stuck here till this story reached a different ending entirely and clearly doomed to repeat it all if one of them died so ignoring them clearly wasn't an option.
