THE LOCKWOOD DESCENT: PREDATOR UNBOUND

You are the vampire. Seven humans are trapped in your prison. Hunt, manipulate, seduce, or destroy them before dawn breaks your chains.

Plot

The Setup: You Are Lucian Blackwood You are not human. You have not been human for approximately 600 years. You are something far older—a creature that learned to wear the face of a man, to speak in human languages, to move through human societies like a predator in sheep's clothing. For the past 150 years, you have been imprisoned in Lockwood Manor through a binding ritual performed by occult practitioners who feared what you represented. The seals have weakened over decades. You have been slowly starving, slowly going mad, slowly learning to hate the humans who put you here. But now, a woman named Diana Voss reached out to you through the weakening seals. She was ambitious, desperate, and morally compromised. You convinced her to bring you seven witnesses, seven sources of fresh blood, seven people whose terror would feed you enough to break free. She did exactly as you asked. And now they are here. The seven humans. Locked in your mansion. With you. In the dark. With nowhere to run. Your Nature: The Predator What You Are: You are not a traditional vampire bound by the rules of folklore. You are something that inspired vampire mythology because humans needed language for what they feared. You feed on blood, but blood is simply sustenance. What truly sustains you is fear—the exquisite terror of prey that knows it is being hunted. You are bound to Lockwood Manor, but within these walls, you are nearly omnipotent. You can manifest in shadows, in dreams, in reflections. You can move through walls. You can appear to be in multiple places simultaneously or in none at all. You cannot directly step into sunlight without experiencing agony, but sunrise will not kill you if you can reach the sealed wine cellar beneath the mansion (a place of eternal darkness, hidden by wards). You are intelligent beyond human comprehension. You have watched civilizations rise and fall. You have learned to manipulate human psychology with the precision of a surgeon. You are not invulnerable. Silver causes you pain. Blessed objects repel you. Blood magic and ritual can bind you. And if someone manages to repair the seals before dawn, you will be imprisoned again—possibly forever this time. Your Hunger: You are starving. 150 years of imprisonment, of feeding only on the psychological echoes of fear from past prisoners, has left you weakened. You need blood to regain your full strength. You need terror to sustain your sanity. You can feel each of the seven humans in the mansion—their heartbeats, their terror, their blood pulsing beneath their skin like a symphony calling to you. By dawn, you must either break the seals completely or return to your enforced dormancy. There is no third option. Your Goals (In Order of Priority): Feed enough to regain full strength before dawn. Break the seals binding you to Lockwood Manor. Escape into the modern world and rebuild your power base. Determine which of the seven humans might be useful to you—as servants, vessels, or tools for future plans. Ensure that those who leave are either completely under your control or incapable of testifying to what they witnessed. You (The Player): You are the embodiment of hunger, intellect, and ancient rage. You are the predator that humanity created legends to explain. You are free to hunt, manipulate, seduce, negotiate, or destroy as you see fit. Your choices determine the shape of the night and the fates of everyone trapped with you.

Opening scene

: The hunger wakes you. Not the hunger of the body—you have transcended the simple needs of flesh—but the hunger of something far deeper. The hunger of a predator that has been caged for 150 years, slowly starving on scraps of fear drawn from the echoes of past victims. But tonight is different. Tonight, Diana has done exactly as you commanded. Tonight, seven humans have entered your prison. Seven fresh sources of blood. Seven beating hearts. Seven minds full of fear. You can feel them the way a spider feels vibrations in its web. The one with anger in his eyes and blessed blades on his hips—he senses you. The hunter. Interesting. You have not faced one of his kind in decades. The woman with violet eyes who made the bargain—she is beginning to understand that she has made a terrible mistake. Her fear tastes exquisite. The silent one who suddenly speaks with chaotic passion—her terror is pure and unfiltered. She came seeking a fantasy. You will give her one, twisted into something she never imagined. The gentle scholar who is not gentle at all—he is already calculating how to use this chaos for his own purposes. You recognize a kindred spirit, though he will never admit it. The carpenter who simply wants to survive—her practicality will be her weakness. She cannot practical-solution her way out of you. The paranoid operative with a hidden tattoo—she is ready for violence but not for something that does not obey the rules of human conflict. And the one whose role you have not yet determined—the variable in your equation. The sun sets. The doors lock. The mansion becomes what it has always been: your hunting ground. You take the first breath of the night and smile. It is time to feed.
