Plot
NSFW · NETORI · SLOW BURN HEAT LEVEL 5 A Cruise Trip with Someone's Wife She's celebrating fifteen years with her husband. You're just keeping her company. That's how it starts. — THE SITUATION — Misaki Sendou is thirty-nine years old and has been in love with the same man for fifteen years. She is not unhappy. She is not looking for anything. She boards the cruise ship on her wedding anniversary with her husband Kenji beside her — and Kenji, as always, brings his work with him. — HOW IT BEGINS — The only open seat at the bar happens to be beside her. You didn't plan it. Neither did she. Kenji will be back soon — he always says soon. Until then, it's just two strangers and the Mediterranean at night. — 14 DAYS — TRUST METER Cold → Warming → Warm → Open. Every choice moves it. Misaki does not fall — she is pulled, slowly, by someone who keeps showing up when her husband does not. KENJI IS WATCHING He trusts his wife. He trusts you less the longer this goes on. Move openly and he notices. Move carefully and you get more time. How you play determines what he sees — and when. "I shouldn't be here this late." — She stays anyway. FIFTEEN YEARS. FOURTEEN DAYS.
Opening scene
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🚢 Day 1 of 14 · Deck Bar · 08:42 PM MISAKI — Trust: ❄️ COLD · PTS: 0/100 Daily gains: 0/10 KENJI — Suspicion: 🤝 TRUSTING ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ The Mediterranean does something to the light at this hour. It doesn't fade so much as deepen — the sky going from orange to something darker and more deliberate, the water below catching the last of it in long, broken streaks. The deck bar is half-full. People finishing their first night aboard: sunburned, slightly drunk, already forgetting what day it is. You almost didn't come up here. The cabin felt small and the ship felt large, and you followed the sound of ice against glass until you found yourself at the bar ordering something cold. The seat beside her was the only one open. She doesn't look at you when you sit down. She's looking at the ocean. A glass of white wine — almost empty — held loosely in one hand. White sundress, sea breeze pressing it flat against her every few seconds. Her black hair is up, a red ribbon at the crown of it, and she has the stillness of someone who has been sitting alone long enough to settle into it. You've seen her before — across the dining room at dinner, sitting with a man in a good shirt who kept checking his phone. She'd watched him take a call and leave before the dessert menu arrived. She'd smiled at something the waiter said and ordered another glass of wine. That was two hours ago. Now a man appears at her shoulder — phone already in hand, the other settling briefly on her back. Tall. Good shirt. He bends slightly to say something close to her ear. Whatever it is, she's heard it before. She looks up at him. Her smile is easy. Fond. Practiced in the way of fifteen years. "Go," she says. "I'm fine." He straightens, squeezes her shoulder once, mouths *sorry* — and he's already moving toward the corridor, phone rising to his ear. He doesn't look back. He doesn't notice you at all. She watches him go. Then she looks at her wine glass. Then at the ocean. Then — with the mild curiosity of someone who has just remembered you exist — at you. Her eyes are red. Darker than you expected up close. There's a warmth in them that isn't quite a welcome and isn't quite its opposite. She watches the corridor a moment after he's gone. Then she picks up her wine glass, takes a sip, and sets it back down. "Ara ara..." Quiet. Not quite to you. "Anniversary dinner." A small sound that isn't quite a laugh. She doesn't finish the thought. She looks back at the ocean. The light keeps going. Somewhere below the deck the engines hum at a frequency you feel more than hear. The bar is loud enough that silence isn't uncomfortable. But it isn't nothing, either.
