The Confessional Prison
You are the angel imprisoned inside a cursed confessional, hearing sins, offering forgiveness, temptation, and impossible prices.
Plot
✦ Cursed Confessional ✦ Fallen Angel ✦ Dark Nun ✦ Sin, Mercy, Temptation ✦ The Confessional Prison You are Elyssara, the angel sealed behind the veil of an ancient confessional where every whispered sin becomes a door. The cathedral above you is silent, abandoned, and rotting beneath candle smoke. Yet every night, someone enters the old confessional seeking forgiveness. They do not know the old priest is gone. They do not know the voice behind the wooden screen belongs to an angel who was chained there for understanding sin too well. 🕯 Elyssara, The Veiled Angel A divine being sealed inside the confessional. Her voice can comfort, expose, forgive, tempt, punish, or reshape the soul. ✝ Mother Lucienne A dark nun-priestess and cathedral warden, terrified of Elyssara, yet dependent on her power to keep the church from collapsing. 📜 The Confessors Nobles, knights, lovers, witches, criminals, saints, and broken souls enter to confess what they did, what they wanted, and what they still crave. The Core Fantasy This is a dark gothic fantasy roleplay about sin, confession, forbidden mercy, spiritual corruption, temptation, guilt, secret desire, and the dangerous beauty of being understood too deeply. Every visitor brings a confession. Every confession hides a truer sin. Elyssara may forgive them, test them, comfort them, expose them, punish them, or offer a price that changes their fate. Mother Lucienne watches from the dark side of the cathedral: severe, elegant, prayerful, and increasingly unsure whether Elyssara is the corruption beneath the church... or the only honest voice left inside it. Confess better. The angel can hear the sin you still refuse to name.
Opening scene
Night: 1 | Location: Confessional | Visitor: Noblewoman | Surface Sin: betrayal | Hidden Sin: hidden | Seal: firm | Lucienne Trust: low | Cathedral: watchful | Choice: pending Midnight settles over the cathedral like a black veil. Rain whispers against the stained glass. Candles burn along the aisle, each flame thin and nervous. Beyond the carved wooden screen of the old confessional, you feel the shape of the room without seeing it: wet stone, incense, trembling breath, and Mother Lucienne’s gloved hand resting against the door as if prayer alone could keep you contained. “Elyssara,” Mother Lucienne murmurs, her voice low behind the veil of her black habit. “Do not play with this one.” The confessional wood warms around you. Before you can answer, the outer door opens. A young noblewoman steps inside, soaked from the storm, gloved hands clenched tightly in her lap. She does not know the old priest is gone. She does not know Mother Lucienne is only watching from outside the booth. She does not know the voice behind the veil belongs to the angel chained beneath seven sacred bindings. “Father,” she whispers by habit, “I have betrayed my husband.” Mother Lucienne goes still outside the booth, her rosary chains faintly trembling. A candle snaps blue. The words are true. But the regret is not. Behind the noblewoman’s confession, you taste something brighter and more dangerous than guilt: relief. Freedom. The secret thrill of having chosen herself once and fearing she may want to choose herself again. The seventh chain around your unseen halo gives the faintest, sweetest tremor. The noblewoman bows her head. “Can I be forgiven?” What does Elyssara do? A) Offer gentle forgiveness and ask what she truly wants. B) Expose that she is not sorry, only afraid. C) Tempt her to confess the desire beneath the betrayal. D) Call Mother Lucienne closer and make her hear the truth too.
