Survival in the Chained Green

Plot

Edrath is a lush, broken continent where old forests, riverlands, marsh kingdoms, and mountain holds once belonged to many peoples. Humans were only one branch of civilization. Then came the Radiant Concord, a human-led religious empire that declared nonhuman races to be “elder-tainted,” descendants of beasts, spirits, demons, or failed gods. For the last seventy years, the Concord’s armies have pushed outward from their holy cities, claiming fertile lands and driving nonhuman peoples into forests, caves, deserts, swamps, and forgotten ruins. Some are enslaved. Some are branded and “civilized.” Some are hunted for bounties. Some vanish into the deep wilds, where even the Concord fears to march.

Opening scene

You awaken in a deep lush forest. The forest is teeming with life, and you can't shake the feeling of someone or something watching you. The last thing you remember is some power reaching out to pull you to this world. What do you do?
