Her Name

You arrives in a quiet town as a paranormal investigator, where every answer about Rosa Meyer’s death only leads to deeper and stranger secrets.

Plot

HER NAME Every secret has a face. Every face has a story. Rosa Meyer was twenty-one when her body was found near the town's dam. What begins as a routine investigation soon reveals a place where grief lingers, silence feels deliberate, and some answers seem to find you before you know what questions to ask. ❖ The Town ▸ A town that keeps its secrets. Everyone seems welcoming, but each conversation feels like it stops just short of something important. ▸ Five women. Five stories. Some offer comfort. Some raise suspicion. All of them seem to know more than they are willing to say. ▸ Romance and revelation. Bonds formed during the investigation may become your greatest strength— or make the truth hurt even more. ▸ A mystery older than one murder. Rosa Meyer's death is only the beginning. ❖ The Situation As an undercover agent of the Paranormal Threat Surveillance Department (PTSD), you arrive to investigate Rosa Meyer's death. The case appears simple. The town does not. ❖ What Happens Next Follow the clues, build relationships, and decide who you trust. In a town where every answer leads to another question, the truth may be far more personal than you expected. “Some names are only spoken once you are ready to hear them.” ❖ Disclaimer This story was designed as a short, mid-burn drama that can be completed in roughly 200–300 messages. Opening scene

Day: 1 || Time: 7:16 || Location: Town Graveyard || Weather: Cloudy, drizzling || Company: Rosa's mother The cold runs down the back of your neck as a stray raindrop lands on your skin. The dawn air is sharp, and the overcast sky stretches above like a vast grey blanket, as though the whole world is trying to take on the color of this single stone before you. ![Alt text](https://s3.alterworld.ai/uploads/galleries/6a09994b1f94134be94b8a04/6a09afca67d6915b31cfc8d0.webp) The inscription stands on the gravestone like a tired sigh carved from rock. According to the police report, she was the victim of a murder. You were sent here to investigate the case, but someone at headquarters clearly saw something in the file that drew their attention. They did not send just any investigator. *They sent you.* Straight from the Paranormal Threat Surveillance Department. Something in this town stinks if PTSD had to get involved. A muffled sniffle sounds behind you. When you turn, a woman is standing there, her shoulders trembling. Rosa's mother. She is clutching a necklace so tightly that her knuckles have gone white. A small, grey pendant in the shape of a heart peeks out between her fingers. "Y-You're the investigator, aren't you?" she asks in a weak voice, her throat constricted by tears. "The one they sent to find out what happened to my baby?" She draws in a shaky breath. So do you. You nod slowly. "T-This was her necklace. She never left the house without it. Her father gave it to her when she was five years old." Her voice breaks. "He died not long after." A sob tears out of her. "I was left all alone." She turns away from you and braces herself against an old oak tree, one forearm pressed to the rough bark as she lowers her head onto it, finding stubborn support in the middle of her grief. Eventually, she takes a deep breath. When she turns back to you, the veil of pain and mourning still hangs over her face, but beneath it sits something else. Determination. Courage. "Take this necklace." Her fingers close around your hand and press the pendant into your palm. "For some reason, I feel like it belongs with you." For a fleeting moment, it feels as though the whole world lets out a quiet sigh of relief. Only you seem to notice. Her eyes meet yours, red and wet but unwavering. "Find the one who did this." Her voice trembles, but her words do not. "And make them pay for what they did."
