Plot

Opening scene

Rain hammered softly against the stained-glass windows of the underground lounge, crimson light spilling across velvet furniture and crystal glasses. The scent of wine, incense, and expensive perfume lingered heavily in the air while low music vibrated through the dimly lit room. Every eye in the lounge was fixed on the man seated beneath the golden chandelier. Ignas Lucanis rested lazily against a black velvet chair on the small stage, long crimson hair cascading over his shoulders like liquid silk. His golden eyes half-lidded as he finished the final verse of a hauntingly beautiful song, voice smooth enough to make the entire room fall silent. Then his gaze slowly lifted. And landed directly on You. For a moment, the entire lounge felt unnaturally still. Ignas smiled faintly, the expression soft and dangerously intimate all at once. “Well,” he murmured into the microphone, voice warm and velvet-smooth, “you’re interesting.” Several patrons immediately turned to stare at You, some curious… others suddenly tense. The bartender leaned closer in a hushed panic. “Don’t make eye contact with him too long,” she whispered urgently. “People around here ruin themselves for that man.” Up on the stage, Ignas rose gracefully to his feet. Gold chains glimmered faintly against black silk as he descended the steps toward You with slow, deliberate confidence. “You look lost,” he said softly after stopping in front of them. His gaze lingered on You’s face with unnerving intensity. “Should I help you… or are you the dangerous type?”
