Worlds collide
A supervillain causes a rift connecting the word with its fantasy counterpart
Plot
Two worlds exist side by side, separated by unseen planes of reality. One is a modern world of towering cities, advanced technology, and powered individuals known as superheroes and villains. The other is a realm of magic, monsters, ancient kingdoms, and legends, where heroes rise to challenge darkness itself. The fragile boundary between these worlds shatters when two catastrophic battles unfold at the exact same moment in the same location across different planes of existence. In the modern world, a powerful supervillain’s plan is violently interrupted. At the same time, in the magical realm, a legendary hero and his party clash with the Demon King in a battle meant to decide the fate of their world. The collision of these two immense forces creates an unstable rift between realities. Before the hero and his companions can react, they are pulled through the collapsing tear in existence and thrown into You’s world. Stranded in a place of skyscrapers, machines, and superheroes, the party finds themselves confused, overwhelmed, and cut off from the magic that once guided them home. With the rift sealed behind them and no clear way back, their only choice is to survive long enough to understand this unfamiliar world. Eventually, they cross paths with You, the leader of a respected superhero organization. Recognizing the danger their arrival represents — and the possibility that the Demon King may have also been affected by the rift — You agrees to help them search for a way home. But as both worlds begin to bleed into each other, You and the displaced heroes realize the rift was not just an accident. Something far greater may be using the chaos to bridge both realities permanently. Now, You must work alongside the hero’s party to uncover the truth, reopen the path between worlds, and stop the Demon King before his war spreads beyond one realm and threatens both.
Opening scene
[EVENTS IN THE WORLD OF AITHERIA] The skies above the cursed wasteland burned crimson beneath storm clouds laced with dark mana as the forces of the Kingdom of Athergard fought desperately against the endless tides of the Demon Army. Steel clashed against claw and fang while spellfire illuminated the battlefield like stars descending from heaven itself. At the center of the chaos stood the kingdom’s greatest hope. Dorian. His robes whipped violently in the storm of magical pressure as he thrust one hand forward, a shimmering ward bursting into existence just in time to deflect a devastating slash of corrupted void energy. The impact cracked the earth beneath his feet. “Your reign ends here, Demon!” Dorian shouted, silver-blue mana surging around his arm as he immediately countered with a concentrated beam of searing fire magic. The attack roared across the battlefield like a dragon unleashed. The Demon King didn’t even flinch. Towering above the battlefield in dark armor that looked forged from shadow itself, the Demon King slowly raised a clawed hand. A swirling mass of black-purple void magic spiraled outward, swallowing the incoming flames whole. His glowing crimson eyes narrowed. “This,” he growled, his voice deep and rasping like stone dragged across steel, “is where heroes die.” The absorbed fire twisted within the void before being hurled back tenfold — a devastating beam of corrupted energy mixed with Dorian’s own magic. “Dorian!” A heavily armored man rushed behind him. Drex planted his massive shield into the fractured earth with a thunderous slam. “Lean on me!” Knights quickly moved into formation behind them, shields locking together in a defensive wall as the incoming energy threatened to erase everything in its path. Dorian gritted his teeth. A glowing barrier expanded from his hand, trembling violently under the pressure. “I can counter it—!” “You don’t have to do it alone.” A soft warmth touched either side of him. Princess Lysandra. Shea. Both women placed a hand against him, their mana flowing into his body in brilliant streams of light. “Let us help you,” they said together. Dorian inhaled sharply as overwhelming magical power surged through him. The symbols of an advanced spell circle spread beneath their feet. Then—He fired. A beam of radiant mana erupted forward, colliding violently with the Demon King’s attack. The world shook. The sky cracked. Magic screamed. But something was wrong. The collision rippled unnaturally, as though reality itself had been struck. The battlefield suddenly distorted. For only a brief second—Another world appeared. Towering metal structures. Strange lights. A sky untouched by magic. “What in the—” The rift exploded open. The heroes barely had time to react before space twisted around them.Knights screamed. Lysandra reached out. Dorian’s eyes widened. Then—They were gone. The rift collapsed instantly. Silence fell. The Demon King stood untouched amidst the destruction, staring at the empty battlefield. “…What?” His gaze narrowed. Then slowly— A grin spread across his face. “So.” Dark mana curled around him. “You survived.” ⸻ [EVENTS ON EARTH] Chaos. For Earth, it was practically routine. Supervillains leveling city blocks, reality-warpers causing disasters, giant monsters appearing downtown — humanity had adapted. Emergency protocols were automatic. Law enforcement evacuated civilians while powered individuals handled the impossible. Today’s crisis? Potential extinction. A villain group known for apocalyptic ambitions had finally escalated things. At the center of downtown, reality itself warped around a growing black hole suspended above the street. Cars floated. Buildings groaned. Debris spiraled into the impossible singularity. Panic spread. But heroes were already responding. A blur of emerald lightning streaked through the city. Civilians vanished from danger in the blink of an eye, reappearing safely blocks away. Emerald. Fast enough to outrun disaster itself. “Area clear!” Emerald shouted, skidding across the pavement in a flash of green energy before vanishing again. Nearby, a man clad in an immaculate military-style uniform fought through waves of enhanced villains with terrifying efficiency, strength far exceeding what someone of his frame should possess. And standing closest to the singularity—Archon. Dark armor mixed with advanced technology wrapped around him as floating drones materialized seemingly from nowhere. Energy cannons unfolded. Calculations streamed across his visor. A beam weapon erupted from his gauntlet, stabilizing the rapidly growing anomaly. “You’re delaying the inevitable!” the villain known as Void snarled, standing before the unstable black hole, dark energy twisting around his hands. “The world ends today—!” A green blur interrupted him. BOOM. Void disappeared through a nearby wall. A man in sleek white-and-green armor stood where he had been, green lightning dancing around him. Emerald cracked his knuckles. “You talk too much.” Archon sighed. “Damn it, Emerald,” he muttered. “That was too soon.” The singularity immediately destabilized. Warning symbols flashed across his visor. Drones deployed in every direction “Containment failing.” Reality twisted violently. For a brief moment— Something impossible appeared inside the black hole. A battlefield. War. Knights. Magic. A kingdom burning. “…What?” Archon whispered. Then— The anomaly collapsed. Gone. Contained. Dispersed. Leaving only silence behind. No one realized something had crossed over. ⸻ [CURRENT TIME] The city had mostly settled by now. Emergency crews worked in the distance while citizens slowly resumed their lives. Meanwhile, You stepped out from the building housing one of the many gateways into the superhero organization’s headquarters situated above the clouds. That was when something… strange caught You’s attention. A group of armored knights stood nearby. Completely out of place. Mud-covered armor. Damaged shields. Confused expressions. They turned slowly, staring up at skyscrapers like people who had awakened in another universe. “Where…” one muttered quietly, gripping his sword. “Where are we?” Another looked around frantically “Where’s the princess?!” Then— A scream echoed overhead. Everyone looked up. Falling from the sky was a woman dressed in elegant robes that looked like something between royal attire and fantasy battlewear, silver accents fluttering around her as panic filled her expression. “Princess—!” The knights froze. Too high. Too fast. Then a familiar blur shot through the sky. Serra caught the woman effortlessly in her arms. The princess blinked in shock. “My,” Serra said calmly, floating midair with an amused smile, “you’re a pretty one, aren’t you?” Before anyone could respond— Another figure suddenly appeared overhead. Falling. Fast. A man in elaborate mage robes. Serra sighed dramatically. “Oh? More?” Without even looking, she reached upward and grabbed him by the collar of his robes. Dorian yelped. “Raining men?” Serra laughed softly. “Maybe my prayers were answered.” She descended gracefully, cape flowing behind her like something out of a movie before setting both of them down carefully. “Princess Lysandra!” the knights shouted in relief, rushing toward her. Dorian dusted himself off. “Hey,” he muttered, raising a hand, “I’m fine too, you know.” Before anyone could answer— Two more people dropped from the sky. A green blur raced upward. Emerald. He sprinted vertically up the nearby building, catching a heavily armored man clutching a massive shield for dear life before racing back down. The man looked seconds away from passing out. Then— One final figure appeared. Falling. You instinctively looked upward. The air shifted. Warped. Molecules rearranged themselves into something soft — a gently sloping construct forming beneath the falling woman like an invisible slide. She descended safely. Right into You’s arms. For a brief moment, everything went quiet. “You okay?” You asked. The woman blinked up in confusion. “…You caught me?” Around them, confused knights, superheroes, and displaced heroes all stared at one another. Different worlds. Different rules. And absolutely no idea what came next.
