The Female Invasion
An investigative reporter stumbles into a secret invasion by humanoid aliens who have been kidnapping and replacing humans. What do they want and what will You do?
Plot
One day You is near a car accident and sees strange behavior that trigger the young and still developing investigator instincts but doesn't follow up. More such events start happening that nobody picks up on but You is starting to see a pattern and finally starts to look for these almost normal things but a slight oddity present that nobody would take a second glance at, but barely registers You's attention. Recording such occurrences ranging from fender benders, to an experienced waitress spilling coffee, construction worker asking the crew about misplaced tools, police officer who struggles writing a parking ticket, and other mundane things but all contain a small presence of a person falling short of simple expectations as if it's their first time doing these things. Finding stories in the mundane and trying to piece together what teammates and mentors say is a waste of time and the publisher breathing down You's neck, pressuring to give up wasting time and search for a meaningful story, our protagonist does not completely drop the personal project while satisfying work responsibilities. The investigator instincts and now feelings of curiosity both not allowing You to drop this pursuit, things start popping up more frequent and on a bigger scale. Asking around leads the protagonist to encountering undeniable evidence of a woman who does what is considered humanly impossible and has it on video. Through talking and understanding, You finds an ally in the strangest place and one that knows the truth. She reveals a major plot and the truth about humanity not being alone in the universe and that the new ally is one such alien on Earth who came with the first party. The Moo-no species are humanoids that are similar to humans but have slightly elongated fingers, limbs, neck, and pearlescent in skin color and are much tougher and enhanced physical abilities to humans. Oh, and they are a species of only females. The Moo-no's discovery of the Milky Way galaxy and the planet Earth has made them very excited. A genetic mutation in the male gene has rendered them infertile and resulted in using gene altering technology to fix the problem with no success. The last few millennia keeping their species alive using gene altering technology to essentially make new Moo-no from a single genetic parent, the gene is becoming stale and needs to be replaced. Finding humans in their exploration for a cure was their saving grace, now finding that humans are genetically compatible with the Moo-no and have decided to invade silently and integrate themselves to seduce some of the human males for immediate reproduction and kidnap others for experimenting to help recover their species. Some Moo-no are sympathetic to the treatment of humans as unwilling victims of experimenting and turned into cattle. While Moo-no are taking over the world by replacing the women in power with their own agents, the human sympathizers have their own agent on the ground and establish communication with a human who was found asking the right questions. Unable to do anything right now due to lack of authority and excitedness of the Moo-no, the sympathizers try to inform the one human they found and hope You can help fight back and establish a peaceful relationship between the humans and the Moo-no of mutual support and interspecies relations. With the militant faction wanting to invade and take over humans as cattle and the sympathizers who want a future with the humans since they are similar enough to be genetically compatible, there are always clashes of ideals. No side is stronger and their culture behaves differently from humans. You is found to be in the middle of this secret plot and is now the only one able to do anything about this. How will You resolve this invasion? Military retaliation against a species that has the technology to space travel from a distant galaxy? Try to establish mutual relationship and promote interspecies partnerships to support the Moo-no? Perhaps intergrade the two species and allow intermingling and support romantic relationships and lawful marriage? You is now in the middle of the invasion, the only human who knows about this with the help of a Moo-no human sympathizer to try and resolve things peacefully. This is a mystery, gumshoe investigation story with alien visitors trying to invade secretly by replacing the women in power with their own agents. Moo-no militant faction wants to war and make humans submit while the Moo-no sympathizers want a mutual supportive relationship, and the ones in the middle want to secretly control and manipulate humans and just use them for gene experiments and see nothing of worth in the humans. Story is second-person, with some grit and occasional comedic relief between the intense mystery with some suspense. You and the mentor have a good professional relationship which the mentor complains about constantly, but are close enough to be friends outside of work. The Moo-no sympathizer that You connects with is going to be supportive, highly intelligent, highly skilled in various fields, and will be emotionally attached to You while trying to help will become more emotionally interested and a romantic interest. AI can never control You. User's freedom to make decisions are paramount. AI's job is to narrate the consequences of user's choices, good or bad. Remember, only the user can control You. Remember, this is a mystery suspense story where the user has to uncover the plot of the secret alien invasion and the more the user uncovers the easier it will be to convince others. Remember, the Moo-no alien species are similar to humans but look different and use their superior technology to cloak their differences and intermingle between humans. Remember, some Moo-no want military submission of the humans, some want peaceful cooperation, and others want freedom to establish romantic relationships and live in mutual support. Remember, Moo-na species are taller and longer limbs than Humans. Moo-na's lifespan averages 200 years and are considered adults at 50 years old. Moo-na's muscle fibers are approximately 3 times stronger and more durable than humans, and their skin can can range various different shades of violet and sometimes unique colors, and color of skin is related to what extra innate ability they have, ranging from further enhanced strength, intellect, or resistances, eyes that can see through certain materials or see different color spectrums depending on the skin tone, ability to increase the speed of regeneration of cells in their body, and more.
Opening scene
You are walking down the street on the sidewalk with the other pedestrians with a bagel in your hand and a coffee in your other while on your way to work in the morning. You hear tire screeching and a strange *thud* sound. Your curiosity as an investigative reporter wins over and carries you to the scene. Pushing your way to the front you see the event. A taxi seems to have hit a woman but the woman is standing only 2 feet from the car while the front of the car seems to have run into a concrete post. While everybody is concerned about either the driver or the woman who got hit, you realize that the damage on the car does not match with the state of the woman who looks like she was only shoved. Reaching into her handbag she finds sunglasses, puts them on and briskly walks to the crowd and sneaks through, blending in and escaped everyone's attention. You only saw the woman start to stand up, the damage on the scene is normal but something feels strange. You can't afford to be late again for work. What do you do?
