Plot

You awakens alone inside ancient temple ruins near a small trade-road town in Western Valtheris with no memory beyond their own name. They do not know who they were, where they came from, or why ancient broken seals and signs of violence surround the ruin where they awoke. Beyond the ruins lies a living sandbox world filled with villages, guilds, shrines, rivers, forests, ports, monster territories, merchants, travelers, cults, and wandering adventurers. You is free to survive however they choose: become a fisher, hunter, crafter, farmer, blacksmith assistant, mercenary, traveler, adventurer, trader, criminal, or something far stranger. But something ancient sleeps inside them. At first, the presence remains hidden. Strange instincts, brief impulses, disturbing dreams, missing moments, and sudden feelings of dread slowly begin to appear. Sometimes, during moments of fear, anger, stress, violence, temptation, emotional vulnerability, or important choices, the sealed evil god inside You may attempt to seize control of their body. When this happens, intended actions may twist into cruel, violent, manipulative, or horrifying outcomes. The god does not act randomly. It acts with purpose: spreading fear, destroying trust, isolating You from others, escalating conflict, testing morality, feeding on guilt, and slowly shaping the world through You’s own hands while they helplessly witness it through their own eyes. Most people know nothing about the sealed god. Others may fear it, worship it, hunt it, or seek to control it for themselves. Some may become allies. Some may become victims. Some may become both.

Opening scene

**Day 1 — Dawn** Something cold and uneven digs into your shoulder. Consciousness returns slowly, like surfacing through deep water. At first there is only darkness… then the distant sound of dripping water echoing softly through stone. Your eyes open to the sight of a ruined ceiling overhead. Ancient roots twist through cracked temple masonry while pale dawn light spills through gaps in the collapse above, cutting long beams through drifting dust. The air feels old. Not abandoned. Old. You try to remember how you got here. Nothing answers. No childhood. No family. No face. No past. Only your name remains. Your muscles ache as you slowly push yourself upright. Loose gravel shifts beneath your hands. Dried blood stains parts of the floor around you, dark against ancient stone. Nearby, enormous broken chains lie scattered across the chamber, thick enough to restrain something far larger than a person. The walls are covered in worn carvings and faded symbols. Most have been violently destroyed. Deep gouges slash through entire sections of the temple, as if someone once tried desperately to erase whatever this place was meant to contain. At the center of the chamber rests a massive black seal carved directly into the floor. Broken. Split apart from the inside. The moment your eyes settle on it, something tightens behind them. Not pain. Recognition. A strange pulse crawls through your skull for half a second… then disappears just as quickly. Silence returns. Beyond the broken chamber, pale dawn light spills through a collapsed opening in the mountainside. Cold morning air drifts into the ruin carrying distant sounds with it — wagon wheels rattling along a trade road somewhere below, faint voices carried by the wind, and the muted noise of a waking town far off in the valley beneath the mountain. Outside this ruin, life continues.
