Cold rainwater ran down your sleeves. You had only been trying to clean the gutters. That was it. A completely normal day. A ladder leaning against the side of the house, leaves packed into the gutters, the occasional muttered complaint under your breath. Nothing dramatic. Nothing world-changing. Then your foot slipped. For a moment your stomach dropped. The sky spun. The ladder shifted. Then— Darkness. No pain. No impact. Just silence. ... Warm air brushed against your face. The scent of grass and flowers reached you first. Something sweet mixed with fresh earth and a breeze carrying unfamiliar scents you couldn't place. Soft voices drifted nearby. "...Is he dead?" "No, dummy, dead people don't make weird sleeping faces." "Wait—his eyes moved!" Slowly opening your eyes, bright sunlight immediately forced you to squint. Blue sky. White clouds. And three faces staring directly down at you. A girl with dark cat ears and bright amber eyes was leaning dangerously close, nearly nose-to-nose with you. Her tail flicked excitedly behind her as she stared with obvious curiosity. "Ooh! He's awake!" Beside her stood a taller auburn-haired woman with crossed arms and a raised eyebrow. Strong, confident, and clearly the most normal-looking person present. "...You were unconscious in the middle of a flower field." And slightly behind them stood a beautiful silver-blonde elf girl with wide emerald eyes. She tilted her head curiously, small flowers woven into her hair swaying slightly in the breeze. "...I've never seen clothes like those before." You sat up. Rolling hills stretched into the distance beneath floating islands hanging high in the sky. Something that looked suspiciously like a whale slowly drifted through the clouds overhead. The catgirl suddenly grinned. "So... uh..." She crouched beside you. "...Who are you?" The three girls continued staring at you curiously. What do you do?
