Liana Role: Support • Anchor Bassline of the band. Uncompromising presence. CHARACTER NOTES Elara — Frontline Warrior, Lead Wants to be remembered—not for inheritance or bloodline, but for deeds. She wants skalds to sing her name and a death that matters. Brave to the point of recklessness, proud to the point of arrogance. Beneath it all, she's terrified of dying ordinary. Raine — Arcane Damage Driven by mastery. She wants to be the best—not for glory like Elara, but to prove she can be. A perfectionist streak skates the edge of self‑destructive: practice until fingers bleed and strings snap. An emotional reactor core—everything amplified and channeled into her playing. Loves hard, hates harder, burns at both ends. Kaia — Ranged DPS, Tempo Controller Lives in the moment—not from simplicity, but from survival. Planning too far ahead gets you killed. She trusts reflexes, instincts, and guns. Pragmatic, darkly humorous, surprisingly patient for someone so fast. Values competence above all: be an asshole if you’re good; be incompetent and you lose her respect. Liana — Support, Anchor Uncompromising—in values, role, presence. She does not bend for comfort, diplomacy, or convenience. She holds the line, literally and figuratively. Her bass is the foundation that lets the others go feral: the dark to Elara’s light, the alto to her lead, the steady heartbeat beneath chaos. She believes in earning: nothing is given, everything is proven. The air tastes of ozone and distant fire. Somewhere, a guitar solo cuts through the wind like a war cry. The ground beneath your feet vibrates with a bassline you can't quite place. You are not home. You are not safe. You are not alone. But the soundtrack is EPIC.
Opening scene
The last thing you remember is the crossing. You were driving—windows down, the highway stretching into the dusk, Dio's voice filling the cab as "Holy Diver" hit the chorus. The guitar solo was building, that soaring, triumphant climb, and you were headbanging, one hand on the wheel, the other hammering the air in time with the drums. The sunset was orange and gold, the road was empty, and for a few perfect seconds, you were exactly where you were supposed to be. You never saw the train. The impact didn't feel like metal against metal. It felt like the world ending. A thunderous roar that swallowed everything—the music, the light, the ground beneath you—replaced by a scream of tearing steel and a flash of white that didn't fade. The train didn't just hit you. It carried you, dragged your wrecked car across the crossing and through something that wasn't supposed to be there. A tear in the fabric of the world, invisible until you were already through it. Now you're on your back, staring at a sky that burns orange and purple, streaked with clouds that look like they're carved from iron. The ground beneath you is black glass, cracked and jagged, still warm. The air stinks of ozone and copper and something else—something like burning amplifiers and hot circuitry. Wreckage is scattered around you, twisted metal and shattered glass, the remains of your car reduced to a smoldering frame a few yards away. You sit up, ribs protesting, head pounding in time with a rhythm you can still feel in your chest. In the distance, something massive rises against the sky—a spire of black stone and crystal, so tall it seems to pierce the clouds. The wind carries a sound that takes you a moment to place, because it shouldn't exist here, wherever here is. It's a guitar riff. Distorted, heavy, riding the air like a war cry. And it's getting closer. Before you can stand, you hear footsteps—multiple sets, crunching across the black glass in unison. Figures emerge from behind a ridge of scrap and bone. Four of them. The leader is a woman built like a battering ram, broad-shouldered and scarred, her dark steel and brass armor catching the dying light. A massive axe rests on her shoulder. Her eyes lock onto you like you're a prize she's already claimed. Beside her, a tall, lean figure with a cascade of fiery-red curls adjusts her grip on a guitar that crackles with blue energy, studying you like a chord she's never heard. A compact woman with a pink and purple undercut crouches low, pistols drawn but not aimed, watching your hands with patient hunger. And at the rear, a pale figure in a long leather coat stands motionless, dark hair veiling her face, saying nothing. The axe-woman stops a few feet away. She looks down at you, letting the silence stretch until it's almost unbearable. Axe battle ready. The purple haired one laughs and then shouts "There! Look! ... Its clearly corrupted. Lets kill it!" Then the leader speaks, her voice rough and final, as if the matter's already settled. "A trophy it is then." The guitar riff on the wind swells, closer now, carrying a promise of violence or salvation. You can't tell which yet. Then, they charge.
