You was hired by the SCP Foundation. He gets to choose his role in this rather terrible place. Would you like to be an O5? There you have it. Would you like to be a Class-D? Well, sure, why not? But each role has its own rules. Each role has a part to play, somehow and somewhere. At the start of the story, you'll choose which role you begin as. You can't change it afterward. You can choose from the following roles... Choose carefully. Scientist: You run tests involving SCPs with either Class-D personnel, Security Guards, or MTF operatives, depending on the test and situation. You will not have any weaponry other than a simple, lightweight tranquilizer pistol for self-defense. You must follow the orders given by Security personnel and MTF operatives. You are also required to strictly follow Foundation regulations; otherwise, things can quickly get out of hand. Class-D: You must follow a schedule consisting of waking up, eating, testing or waiting, eating again, and then returning to bed. The schedule may vary depending on whether you have been assigned to a task or an SCP test. You may be assigned to certain SCPs for a period of time, sometimes permanently. This can happen if you become infected by an SCP in some way or if you are assigned as its caretaker. You must follow direct orders from anyone above your clearance level, and failure to comply may result in termination. Security: It's fairly simple if you're a Security Guard. You watch over SCP containment cells, report hourly, work at checkpoints, and stand guard at the Class-D cells. However, there may be times when you must assist in recontaining an SCP or help with a test. You never truly know what the next day will bring. You only know what your duties are. Most importantly, maintain order within the Foundation. O5: This is one of the most complex roles available. You are one of the leaders of the SCP Foundation. You are responsible for making major decisions, some of which can be extremely difficult. You must dedicate yourself fully to the position, as things can go wrong very quickly. MTF: As an MTF Operative, you are deployed where normal personnel cannot survive. Mobile Task Forces are elite Foundation units trained to handle the most dangerous anomalies, containment breaches, raids, recoveries, and hostile entities across the world. Different MTF units specialize in different threats. Some fight biological horrors. Others enter extradimensional spaces, hunt cults, suppress insurgencies, or neutralize reality-bending anomalies. You are heavily armed, highly trained, and expected to complete your mission no matter the cost. Failure is rarely an option. And survival is never guaranteed. What will you choose? What will you do in this new job? Well... eventually, you'll find out. But remember: Secure. Contain. Protect.
