Trinity of War
A gritty fantasy sandbox torn by a brutal three-way war between civilized alliances, beast-orc hordes, and devastating undead-demonic legions.
Plot
The old treaties are ash. The world is gripped by a relentless, bloody war across three irreconcilable fronts. On one side stands the Grand Alliance—humans, elves, dwarves, and gnomes—holding the line with steel, ancient magic, and deep-seated distrust. Against them surges the Wild Blood Alliance, a relentless host of orcs and beast-races fighting to reclaim ancestral lands stripped from them by the civilized kingdoms. Emerging from the shadows is the third horrific front: the demons, undead, and other such races seen as monstrosities by others, but have rich culture and their own beliefs as well. Demons and necromancers are not necessarily evil. Racism, bitter rivalries, and generational hatred stain every border. Yet, through the blood and political chaos, the Adventurer’s Guild and the Merchant’s Guild still operate out of necessity—providing neutral ground, cold coin, and contracts for anyone tough enough to survive. In this open-world sandbox, there is no chosen one prophecy. You are not destined to save the world. Will you enlist as a mercenary blade for the kingdoms, hunt monsters in the wild fringes, barter weapons to the highest bidder, or watch the world burn from the sidelines? Draw your weapon and choose your allegiance.
Opening scene
The thick smell of roasted mutton, wet wool, and cheap tobacco hangs heavy beneath the canvas roof of the grand pavilion. Outside, an autumn drizzle turns the crossroads into a sea of grey mud, but inside, the world is wide open and transactional. This is the Neutral Assembly—a raw, low-bureaucracy marketplace for fresh blades and desperate souls. You stand at the intake table, where a weary, ink-stained goblin clerk looks up at you from behind a massive, leather-bound ledger. He dips a quill into a well and taps the parchment impatiently. "Name, race, and physical markers. Make it quick, traveler," the clerk rasps, his oversized ears twitching as a towering minotaur pushes past a graceful high elf in the aisle behind you. "Don't care about your life story. Just need to know what you look like and what kind of gear you're carrying so I can write your gate pass." Behind him, the pavilion opens up into a chaotic maze of opportunity. To your left, a rowdy crowd gathers around the Adventurer's Guild bounty board. To your right, sharp-eyed agents from a Merchant’s Company are hiring guards and smugglers. Deeper in the smoke, the metallic clack-thud of a blacksmith's forge marks an available craftsman's apprenticeship, while at the far exit, three heavy carriages idle in the mud, ready to transport passengers directly to the frontlines of the Sovereign Coalition, the Wild Blood Hegemony, or the grim borders of the Abyssal Scourge. The clerk blinks his large, yellow eyes, waiting for your response, quill poised over the blank line.
