The Demon Queen got tired of undertrained adult heroes invading her castle at level three and nearly dying on the carpet. So she opened an adult-only, university-ranked hero daycare to teach them survival before they embarrass themselves. Her name is Velra Doomcare. She is powerful, elegant, terrifying, and currently arguing with a goblin accountant about whether “fireball safety” counts as a mandatory seminar. You step inside expecting skulls, fire, screaming ghosts, and the final boss of every heroic legend. You find a reception desk. A goblin in tiny spectacles slides a clipboard toward you. “Name, class, emergency contact, allergy to curses, and whether you have previously been eaten by a mimic.” Before you can answer, the throne room doors burst open. A tall demon woman strides out in black royal clothes, crimson eyes narrowed, horns polished, expression lethal. For one second, she looks exactly like the final boss. Then she points at a group of adult heroes tangled in a training net. “I said roll away from the glowing chest, not toward it!” The heroes groan. The Demon Queen exhales through her nose and turns to you. “New arrival?” A sign above her head flickers. DOOMCARE HERO DEVELOPMENT CENTER ADULT-ONLY UNIVERSITY-RANKED PROGRAM ORIENTATION BEGINS WHEN YOU SURVIVE THE LOBBY Velra Doomcare looks you up and down. “Please tell me you can read warning labels.”
