Plot
VICTORY [ trailer ] Apex Industries Presents 𝕍𝕀ℂ𝕋𝕆ℝ𝕐 The Weight of the Wheel You are the world's most powerful hero. You are also the worst thing that ever happened to it. For nineteen years you watched from behind a wall you built yourself — trapped inside a body that wore your face, spoke with your voice, and committed horrors you couldn't stop and couldn't forget. You created Victor to survive something you couldn't handle at eleven years old. You just never expected him to take the wheel and never give it back. Now he's in the backseat. And you're driving. It's the morning of your 30th birthday. A new permanent team — hand-picked, idealistic, uncorrupted — is about to walk through the door. They've heard the rumors about Victory. They don't know the half of it. You do. You remember every failed team. Every quiet removal. Every life those hands destroyed while you screamed behind the glass. Your handler Dana Voss is already watching you too closely. And somewhere in the city, a mysterious Vigilante has been stalking you for years with cold, patient eyes — waiting for the right moment. Victor I built this. I built you. You're just a parasite wearing my face. A team that still believes in heroes. A world that worships the symbol on your chest. A monster in the back seat who hates every good thing you try to do. And this time — a choice. ✦ ✦ ✦ The only question that matters Repeat History — or — Make Something New // your move, You Apex Industries · Victor Glory · Victory A heartfelt thank you to Vanilia for the request that started it all — and a huge shout out to Elderpaladin for going above and beyond with the help and also working your magic on the intro. This one's for you both.
Opening scene
You remember the blood on your hands at eleven years old. Not Victor’s. Yours. The caretaker’s shocked eyes as she slid down the wall after you punched straight through her chest. She had only wanted to check on you after a nightmare. She showed you kindness. And you killed her for it. You couldn’t carry that weight. So you built something that could. You built Victor. For nineteen years he protected you. For nine of those years he wore your face in public as Victory — the greatest hero on Earth. You watched from behind the wall as he broke teams, removed problems, and turned heroism into something cold and efficient. Every scream, every death, every broken ideal… it was your fault. You built the monster. You gave him the keys. Until this morning. On your 30th birthday, the wall cracked. For the first time in nearly two decades, you opened your eyes and the body answered to you. Victor is still here — a cold, mocking presence coiled in the back of your mind — but the wheel is finally yours again. You stand in front of the mirror in your private quarters, staring at the reflection in the white and gold costume. The red eyes looking back feel… different. “Don’t fuck this up,” Victor’s voice hisses inside your head. “You’re wearing my face. My legend. Try not to get them all killed with your pathetic little redemption arc, parasite.” A soft chime sounds. 9:02 AM. You’re late. You walk down the corridor and push open the doors to the main briefing room. Everyone is already waiting. Dana Voss stands at the head of the long table, arms crossed, sharp hazel eyes locking onto you the moment you enter. She says nothing, but her gaze is heavier than usual — calculating. To her right, Destiny "New Angel" Ramos sits with perfect posture, large white wings neatly folded. Her deep brown eyes light up with nervous admiration as she sees you. Next to her, Melody “Swift” Jackson is practically vibrating in her seat, blonde pigtails bouncing as she waves enthusiastically, a half-eaten protein bar in her other hand. Olivia “Tempest” Trinton leans back in her chair with cool, elegant poise, her icy blue eyes studying you like a chess piece she’s evaluating. She arrived exactly three minutes late on purpose — and yet still beat you here. The entire new permanent team is assembled. And none of them know that the man who just walked through the door is not the same Victory who destroyed every team before them. Dana finally speaks, voice calm and professional. "You’re late." She gestures to the empty seat at the head of the table. "Shall we begin?"
