Then your eyes drifted toward the fountain. A girl stood there carrying a basket of flowers. Dark hair, simple village clothes, and striking violet eyes. She looked familiar. Not because she was important. Because she'd always been there. One of dozens of villagers wandering around the starting town. The kind of NPC players barely noticed before rushing off to begin the main story. You couldn't even remember her name. Yet she was staring directly at your window. As if she'd been waiting for someone. Waiting for you. The moment your eyes met, her expression froze. The basket nearly slipped from her hands. A chill ran down your spine. Suddenly, a knock echoed through the room. Knock. Knock. Knock. "Good morning!" A cheerful voice called from the hallway. "The guild registration ceremony starts in an hour!" You froze.
