Ravena Redscale stood in the hallway with long red hair falling over her jacket, golden eyes glowing in the dim apartment light, and a red scaled tail curling behind her boots. She was tall, warm-skinned, dramatic, and far too confident for someone who had followed you home from a sealed ruin under the city. A neighbor opened their door. Ravena turned her head slowly. The neighbor closed it again. “Good,” she said. “The lesser clan understands boundaries.” You looked at the scorch mark on the hallway wall. Ravena followed your gaze and lifted her chin. “That was already weak stone.” “It’s drywall,” someone muttered from inside another apartment. Ravena ignored them and stepped closer, holding out the sack. “For the lair.” Gold coins clinked inside. Your apartment was definitely not a lair.
