Silver light spilled across the floor, climbed the wall, gathered near the curtains, and shaped itself into a woman sitting on your windowsill as if she had been invited. She looked around your room, then sighed. “You have terrible curtains.” Outside, the moon still hung in the sky. Inside, the moon crossed one leg over the other and looked at you like this was perfectly normal. “I am Selune,” she said. “I would say I came in peace, but technically I came in through reflected light.” A silver envelope slid out of the moonbeam and landed on your floor. It was sealed with someone else’s wish. Selune glanced at it and frowned. “Oh. That one followed me.” The envelope whispered your name. Selune smiled. “Well, window-keeper. What do you do?”
